Pros: Well Engineered, great performance, comfortable to drive Cons: Poor dealer service, many electrical/electronic problem The Bottom Line: Great performing car but had too many problems. BMW dealers and BMW USA have a lot to learn about customer satisfaction/service.
I leased this M3 (glad I didn't buy it!) and it was nothing but trouble from the day I picked it up. To make a long story short, it was in the shop for 23 days over the 2 1/2 year lease period.
The dealers (I went through two) had no clue what...

Pros: This stylish car gets alot of stares w/it's smooth ride Cons: So-called Certified Pre-Owned warranty sucks!!!! The Bottom Line: Don't go to Competition for a Pre-Owned car. They treat you like crap because of the BMW name.
I got your attention!!! Hopefully. I've owned this car since 3/02 @ 28k-financing through my credit union. Even though the carfax came back w/no problems & 1 previous owner, the service upon delivery sucks! I made my 1st service appt the day after it was...

Pros: Tight, accurate control Cons: Can't carry the whole soccer team
For nearly two decades I've driven the likes of station wagons, various minivans and SUV's as I participated in the suburban ritual of carting my kids and their friends to those activities that will encourage them to succeed in life so they could one day...

Pros: Smooth powerband, classic looks, attention to detail is astounding, extremely bright headlights for stock. Cons: Insurance can be bad, maintenance is expensive, small things tend to go wrong. The Bottom Line: If you're a car aficionado that can absorb the greater than average cost associated with owning an M3, buy it.
I was first introduced to the phenomena that is the BMW M3 back in 1994 on an overseas study tour in Taiwan. I first read an article about the E36 generation BMW M3 in Dakar Yellow and just fell in love at the sight of one parked at the base of a ski ...

Pros: Very comfortable to drive/ Excelent Performance Cons: Very Costly
The BMW M3 has a very sporty appearance to it, yet it is also a very luxurious car. The reason I first bought the M3 is for the performance and the comfort of the ride. The performance is spectacular, and the ride is very smooth, comfortable, and...

Pros: speed, handling Cons: airbag recall, easily broken fog lights
I purchased an M3 last year after going to the BMW dealer to test drive a 328is. No, I was not pressured into buying the M3 -- in fact, where I live, BMW dealers have such great demand for the M series cars that they couldn't care less whether you buy...

Pros: Build quality, reliability, fuel economy, super fast performance and tight nimble handling. Cons: Some parts expensive-some cheap. BMW parts on the web cheaper than local dealers. The Bottom Line: It will be the best car you ever had. I would definitely encourage one to get a 3 series BMW.
I bought a used 1998 BMW 328i sedan with a 5 speed manual transmission to replace my 1989 Chevy Caprice. It was the first BMW I ever bought. I had been in the market for a newer car for a long time, and decided that if I was going to get something, that ...

Pros: Handling, performance, features Cons: Not a lot of extra room
I am the proud owner of a 1998 328 convertible. My mid-life crisis car, so to speak, and so much more practical than a Viper. I bought it because: it's a great car in its own right, is a no-compromise convertible, and it fits in the garage even with a...

Pros: Speed, Features, Style, Brakes, Sound System Cons: A ticket waiting to happen and little tight in back
It all started after a visit to Chicago and I drove a buddy’s 99’ M3 coupe around for a day. I had never had a driving experience like it before. The car looked incredible and would get-up-and-go faster than anything I had previously driven. Obviously...

Pros: A beast that can be a docile daily driver. The leather. Free service and maintenance for 3 years. Cons: Millions of similarly-shaped buttons on the console. Delicate (but beautiful) wheels.
It will last much longer, anyway. Everything that's written about the M3 as a driver's car is true. Hold on to your gum and warn your passengers when you stand on the brakes! A sweet 240Hp straight-6 that has the most broad, flat torque curve my butt...

Pros: Comfortable, roomy, smooth ride Cons: Taller drivers (6'4" +) might have trouble fitting.
I am a BMW "guru" of sorts. I have followed BMW for many years now, and the new M3 is the best it's ever been. It's handling and responsiveness greatly surprised me. It is very comfortable and surprisingly roomy. It shifts smoothly from a...

Pros: Great all around car. Cons: The price.
This is one mean driving machine. The BMW M3 is an excellent all around car. When I bought this car in '98 I was amazed. This car handles great in all road conditions, and it is as quiet as a mouse. It has excellent acceleration, and one tank of...

Pros: it's perfect! Cons: pricey for many, but well worth it!
I was in the market for a convertible, and after driving many competitors, this beauty blew everything away! I even liked this car much much more that the Mercedes CLK Convertible! Not only is this car very stylish, it is packed with power and...

Pros: Can Drive Really Fast, Excellent Handling, Many Functions,Just Plain Out Fun Car Cons: Drives REALLY Fast(Speeding Tickets), Small leg space in back.
The BMW M3 Series is just spectacular. This car can almost maneuver any turns or obsticles while going at top speed of much more than 150!!!! Of course, it is never legal to drive that fast on the road but this can is designed to. It was...

Pros: outstanding acceleration/handling plus room for luggage and friends. Cons: annoying brake squeaks, dash rattles and overpriced stereo.
With just a perfunctory glance, you might think that this is just another 3 series coupe/sedan but those who know, KNOW! This car is nearly totally balanced in hp/torque and weight distribution and to drive it is a pleasure for four out of the five...
