Pros: Comfortable cab, decent mileage, nice sound system Cons: 4 cylinder engine lacks acceleration
I have working for small computer service company for over six years, and we cover the entire state of Oklahoma and into Texas and Arkansas, this leads to a lot of driving well over 40,000 miles a year.
We were required for the first six...

Pros: Fun to drive & comfortable as well as safe Cons: Only one back seat
I wanted a pickup that was easy for my wife to drive & park as well as one that looks good. I have a 99 Ext Cab 2 Wheel drive Stepside 3rd door. I love the third door but wish there was two seats in the rear. The one seat works ok if only one of the...

Pros: Lots of power, comfortable, sticks to the road. Cons: Limited in cab storage, not too great mileage. The Bottom Line: If you can afford the payments and insurance, buy it. Put weight in the back, and it will stick to the road, no matter what.
I'll start by saying that the truck I'm rating is my fiancé's truck, and most of my experience with it involved a Christmas road trip through two disaster areas. We are getting rid of it, but that has more to do with the high payment and insurance and...

Pros: reliable, inexpensive, fun to drive. Cons: poor traction in bad weather
I must say that I have preferred General Motors' vehicles all my life, and the six months that I spent with my 1999 GMC Sonoma only confirmed that. In June 1999 I purchased the truck simply because it was the cheapest new vehicle on the lot, or in the...

Pros: Small, easy to park, no rattles or air leaks Cons: Terrible seats, not much pep in tight situations
The Sonoma I bought has the standard cab. One problem that appeared immediately after driving off the lot was the radio quit. Returning to the dealer left me with a hole in the dash. Dealer had removed radio to send for repair. Six weeks and several...

Pros: Sporty look Cons: Somewhat bumpy ride
I happen to own a 1999 Sonoma and love it! Yes, it has a few downfalls. I bought this truck because I wanted a truck with some power and carrying capacity. One downfall is that you have to buy a truck with more options such as four-wheel drive to get...

Pros: Styling, Handling Cons: Price, somewhat lack of quality
My GMC Sonoma is a good little truck, however there are better ones out there for a much better price. My little bunny's sticker price was almost $22,000 and isn't even four wheel drive!
I've had a few problems with little things in my truck such...

Pros: Nice design, third door for extended cab, CD player can read all CD-R's Cons: 2.2L 4 banger under powered, low stock stereo wattage The Bottom Line: If you want a small size extended cab truck it's hard to go wrong with the GMC Sonoma/Chevy S10. Get the V-6.
My '93 GMC Sonoma was a single cab, everything worked, drove well, had 117K miles on it and paid for. But my wife needed a trade in for a new car, so I gave her my '93 and decided to buy a '99 extended cab Sonoma. I like this truck and I like the way...

Pros: Comfort, Ride, Size Cons: Power, Number of passengers
This is a truck for someone who doesn't want to feel like they're driving a truck. It gives you the feel of a truck (you're up fairly high, you can take potholes, curbs, and bumpy roads pretty easily), but overall it drives more like a car. The ride is...

GMC scored a coup last year with a sporty Sonoma pickup that feels like a sports car when you hustle it around a freeway exit ramp.
It's back this year, but even better because it has a new instrument panel, second-generation airbags for both driver...
