Pros: Strong 4-cylinder engine, Excellent handling. Honda's reputation. Cons: Plain interior & Exterior, High price. The Bottom Line: I just can not find it in my heart to recommend this car. If the price were lower, say $14,000, I'd give it 100%.
Driving Impressions: While the Honda Prelude Type SH may feel a bit outdated inside, you can't complain about the excellent driving experience, well unless you are driving this car in a drag race. There is something almost magical about ...

Pros: Handles great, and pretty much everything else about this car. Cons: Very cramped in the back of the car, seat design is a little tacky.
I guess now that I look back, I consider myself a very lucky (maybe spoiled) girl. My parents decided to buy me a 1999 Prelude as my first car two years ago. They knew that I wouldn't settle for anything less than a middle class car that was fun and...

My Honda Prelude….
I do not know much about cars and am hesitant to write in this category, but I will give a layman’s perspective on my car, because it is my car and I have an opinion on it. So here goes nothing…
I leased a...

Pros: Comfortable, ample power and good handling Cons: Brakes aren't quite up to sports car standards. The Bottom Line: Fun, cost-efficient, and practical.
I'd call my Honda Prelude an ultimate SUV: a sports car that's fun to drive, cost-effective, with plenty of cargo room to boot.
Why I bought this car:
I like sports cars. They're nimble-footed, stop quickly, and are a bit easier to park...

Pros: Great handling, acceleration, and styling Cons: Higher than expected price
About 3 months ago, after much research, I purchased a 1999 Honda Prelude. I am a 25 year old male with a moderate income. I was looking for a sports car that was fun to drive, but also very reliable. I compared the car to the Acura Integra GS-R,...

Pros: Performs well and is reliable. Cons: Cramped seating, black interior The Bottom Line: Looking for a reliable and sporty car at a reasonable price? Look here.
On my baby daughter's recent trip home from college, I had a chance to check out the little sportscar we had purchased with her in the summer of 2000. Mrs. Strategery and I have had a deal with all of our children that we would help them with their...

Pros: Great handling, quick Cons: Tiptronic shifter is gimmicky
Appearance:
The 1999 Prelude takes designing cues exactly opposite of the former model. While the old model was very sportcar-style oriented, the new Prelude looks like a low slung sedan, with square features and simple lines.

Pros: its a great car Cons: none that i know of
I own a 1999 Honda Prelude, 5 speed milano red, with a cold air intake and Tanabe racing medallion exhaust. I run a 14.75sec 1/4 mile time. Not to bad for a 2.2 liter four banger! My grandma bought this car for me 8 months ago brand new for 21,000...

Pros: Its a Honda, handling, sweet VTEC engine. Cons: Lack of options, headroom, cupholder placement, delicate skin, quality issues on MINE.
Prior to buying my Prelude, I owned a '91 Honda CRX. It was the best car I have ever owned, but it was 8 years old and time to purchase something new. When I bought the CRX I wasn't making a lot of money and in my 20's, now in my late-30's, I decided...

Pros: Great to drive! Cons: Low options.
I don't think that there is any other car that can even compare with the 1999 Honda Prelude. One of my friends had purchased one about two years ago. Up until that time, I'd not a clue as to what it was. He would drive me places and such. While I was in...

Pros: Quick, great styling, great sound system Cons: "Shock knock", possible MINOR flaws in the automatic transmission The Bottom Line: This car has a rare combination of attributes: RARE, fast, great styling, RELIABLE, unique. You will not find another sports car like this.
One of the cars that I have always wanted to own was a 5th generation (97-01) Honda Prelude. I acquired a 1999 Honda Prelude base model used from a Honda dealership. I have owned the car for 8 months now and I have enjoyed every minute of it. Not many ...
