Pros: Used prices, Fuel economy, Good outward vision. Cons: Engine, Interior plastics, Interior room, Exterior design. The Bottom Line: Despite having some major gripes about this vehicle, the 2000 Altima represents a honest value on the used car market.
For the 2002 model year the popular Nissan Altima went through a dramatic transformation, giving the Altima an entirely different image. The Altima was no longer a small grocery getter, instead the Altima became a mid-sized performance biased 4-door...

Pros: Attractive, priced well, made by Nissan, decent handling. Cons: Fuel consumption isn't as good as others. Just an average car. The Bottom Line: I really think this is an average car but my conflicting feelings are pushing it to 4 stars. Go with the Honda Civic. That's my bottom line.
I have been riding in the 2000 Nissan Altima for a couple of years now. When my friends from out of state came for the weekend I just had to drive it around. They also have a 1998 Nissan Altima which shows you how much they love the car. They di ...

Pros: Dependable and comfortable with a lot of extra features. Cons: Not very flashy, weak radio, and poor windshield wiper activity in the snow. The Bottom Line: Reliable. This is one of the better used cars to own.
After dealing with a 1997 Dodge Neon for over four years I went searching for a new car with one word in mind: reliable. Of course when shopping for a car you come up against other factors such as cost and pesky car sales people. When the Altima was ...

Pros: great value for the price Cons: you can feel some of the bumps in the road The Bottom Line: A great car at a reasonable price and it includes a lot of 'luxury' style items.
We recently traded our 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in on a 2000 Nissan Altima GXE. Having a child, we wanted to do our part to make the world a little better place by getting rid of the SUV and going with something a little ‘greener’ while not...

Pros: Fit and finish is excellent.
Fuel economy good for midsized sedan. Cons: Dull styling.
Lousy resale value. The Bottom Line: If you are not a car aficionado, then this is your car. A good solid automobile with no pizazz.
I've owned my 2000 Altima SE for a year and a half now and would like to add my two cents to the mix.
Pros: As usual for Japanese cars, the fit and finish is far superior to their American counterparts. Tolerances are exacting and overall build...

Pros: Sun Roof, CD Player, Cruise Control, Leg Room... You name it, it's got it! Cons: The only problem I've found so far is the stereo's lack of big, thumping bass, which is easy to overlook when you fall in love with everything else about it.
It took sixteen years. I sat patiently in the passenger seat, my fingers itching to clutch that taut steering wheel, my foot unconsciously pressing on an imaginary gas pedal while my mother drove. And then the day came when I turned sixteen and when my...

Pros: An excellent well rounded car Cons: kind of boring
In my opinion Nissan has always given the best car for the money. The Altima is no exception to this rule. The Altima has a nice engine but nothing spectacular and fast. The look is nice but changes year by year so it is a varaible. The interior is...

Pros: Good value for the money. Cons: Even though ABS is available as an option, it is hard to find an Altima that has it installed.
I just bought the new Altima GXE 2000 with VOP and Convenience packages, and I after reviewing all the competition I can confidently say that the Altima provides the best value for the money.
My Altima cost me $16,000, which included the...

Right now, I am the midst of purchasing a new car/late model used car, and the Nissan Altima is the car I am leaning toward. In response to an epinion I have recently read, I would like to state that I believe that the 1997 Altima was the first year...

Pros: Cheap, good on gas. Cons: Noisy interior, poor controls. The Bottom Line: Buy this car if you're not into your music and don't really need to impress anyone. That is, unless your friends are impressed by your frugality.
Yes, it is true. I saw some show on MTV that sent a camera crew to follow the comedian Chris Rock around, and he showed off his Altima to provide evidence that he tries to lead a normal life.
Well, the Altima is just that...normal. Nothing...
