Pros: Handles well, comfy, lots of cargo room Cons: BIG BIG BIG The Bottom Line: If you want a monster SUV, this is the one to get. Great price, great performance!
“Hi. My name is illini and, well, uh, I have a problem. I admit it. I drive a Suburban. There, I said it. I’m one of those annoying people who terrorize subcompact cars and make parking lots a living hell. It feels so good to finally come clean.”...

Pros: Roomy, Solid, Powerful, Quiet. Lives up to the promise. Cons: Requires additional forethought when maneuvering. The Bottom Line: I've gone nearly 40 years without buying a GM product and this one changed my mind. I like to think that it's not me who's changed - it's Chevrolet.
The new Suburban: Silverado meets El Dorado. Now that the 2001 model is no longer the debut year for the new Suburban, comparisons to last year's model are a bit dated. However, it's hard to resist commending GM for the excellent job in engineering this...

Pros: Comfortable, roomy, smooth drive, easier cornering that would have expected Cons: Size - make sure your garage can fit it in!
Well, the 1990 Range Rover had served it's purpose, as well as lined the pockets of the local dealership for frequent (and costly) repairs. The things I truly loved about the Rover were that I could drive it practically anywhere my eyes could see and it...

Pros: Comfy and great towing capacity. Feeling of security with the fun of a POWERFUL engine. Cons: Difficult to get into for shorter or older people. OEM tires not adequate. The Bottom Line: Safety, comfort, and the ability to carry lots of people and luggage and the fun of a big block engine makes this a fine vehicle for your chariot of choice.
You want comfort, a feeling of security and safety for you and yours, and you want an engine that gets up and goes? Then you want to consider a 2500 Suburban with the 8.1 liter engine.
I have lived abroad for several years and I noticed that...

Pros: If you use it as it was meant to be, this is a great vehicle Cons: if you drive it around only on the street, alone, it's useless
Look at me everybody, I'm a damn jerk. I drive around in my enormous hulk of a machine so I can go 3 blocks to buy half a gallon of ice cream and some diet pills. But wait, I have to make a call on my cell phone while I'm in this big obnoxious vehicle!...

Pros: Very reliable truck - great buy for a large family Cons: Few to speak of The Bottom Line: I would recommend this truck to anybody in the market for an SUV. Reliability matches my Lexus.
This is my second Suburban, and it's better than the first (1997 model). I bought it new 4 years ago, and now have 82,000 miles on the vehicle. During that time, I've had it in for two repairs: the rear air conditioner went out, and the parking break ...

Pros: Great design, great room, easy to drive Cons: big to park, high gas prices = a lot of money to fill the tank! The Bottom Line: I do recommend this vehicle - tows really great, comfortable, holds everything, goes where you want it to go, looks and feels good to drive
We bought a used 2001 Chevy Suburban 2500, with a 6.0 liter engine about a year ago. We needed a bigger vehicle to pull our camping trailer, and since I was going to be trading in my '98 Chevy Tahoe, instead of my husband trading his truck, I really ...

Pros: Big, comfy, nice ride Cons: Big, questionable build quality The Bottom Line: Nice for the first year or two, but expect it to start falling apart shortly after.
(Initial review) My wife uses this vehicle primarily as a minivan to haul our family and their stuff. It holds everything with room to spare, even with the third row seat up. Every seat is comfortable with good legroom, headroom, shoulder-room and ...

Pros: 8.1L engine is awesome, Autoride Suspension makes handling best of SUV's, interior very comfortable Cons: No shoulder strap in center seats, small 16" wheels, cd/stereo sub-par for price range The Bottom Line: I'm a Ford guy and I opted for the Suburban, test drove both the Excursion and the Suburban and there's no comparison. Plus it fits in a standard garage.
The 2500 series (3/4 ton) Suburban is almost perfect. The 8.1 liter engine is one of the smoothest I have owned (that includes a Wankel rotary and an SHO both of which are renowned for being smooth). Torque is delivered over a broad, flat curve. (It...

Pros: 4 wheel drive that will fit all six of us comfortably for $17,500. WOW!! Cons: The flared running boards could pose a problem if parked next to someone. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to any large family that would like the comfort of a car. Runs smoothly and effertlessly. This is by far the best decision we have made.
If you have a large family or like to have lots of room, the Chevy Suburban will be the best purchase you will ever make. My husband is a hunter, so the room with the 4 wheel drive is a real asset. I love how smooth and effertlessly this vehicle rides....

Pros: Safe, Fast, Reliable, very Roomy and extremely comfortable. Cons: Parking was hard until I bought a $80.00 backup camera The Bottom Line: You can't put a price on safety and feels like a Corvette 0-75 MPH
I bought this Suburban with 90,000 miles and could not be happier. I got 18.7 MPG on my first trip. The power is great especially for getting out of unsafe situations. It is very reliable and except for a couple pieces of $20.00 plastic, it is like new. ...
