Pros: Looks great, comfortable ride, faster and quieter than earlier editions. Cons: Handling on turns could be better. Interior could match exterior more. The Bottom Line: The 2001 Sebring sedan provides a carefree ride with little worries and a healthy acceleration. The 2001 edition arrives with marked improvements over earlier versions.
A driver's experience of the 2001 Chrysler Sebring sedan (LXi) depends so much on the prevailing environment at the time. Once upon a time, I had the opportunity to rent a Sebring (albeit a 2000 version) in Miami, and boy did I ever regret it. The...

Pros: Style, speed, mileage, comfort, new car smell, performance and so much more!!! Cons: People asking me to sell it to them. NO!!!! The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to anyone who wants the style, performance and comfort. This is not a family car but great for highway and around town.
Ahh. The car the replaced my ailing 1983 VW Jetta. Actually replace is the wrong word as I had lusted after this car since it was first brought out for the 1995 model year. I saved and saved, managed a healthy downpayment for the car and have never ...

Pros: Very roomy back seat and trunk, fun to drive, looks great Cons: Back seat is sinking a bit, low fuel light in a silly place on dash The Bottom Line: Excellent value, reliable, and you'll feel very stylist driving it
If you're looking for a roomy, reliable, great looking vehicle, I don't think you'll be too disappointed with this one.
We just celebrated our one year anniversary owning our 2001 Sebring. Ours is a 4-door, 6-cylinder, hard-top with a...

Pros: This car looks great and performs well above average. Cons: There's quite a bit of road noise, the turning radius could be tighter. The Bottom Line: In summary I'll say, I bought it because it looks and feels very cool. I can't say it better than that. It ain't your Dad's Honda Civic.
This car looks good. I have been driving SUV type vehicles for twelve years, a Jeep Cherokee for about 10 years and for the last 2 years, an Explorer Sport 2DR. Never thought I'd change until... I saw the Coupe and had to have one. I did some research...

Pros: Fast, fun V6/AutoStick combo, very roomy, eye-catching Cons: Moonroof design, No auto climate control, poor radio reception The Bottom Line: Very nice, fun to drive, mini-luxury sedan. May lack the Grade A polish of imports but shines as a traditional domestic mid-size sedan with power and big-time style.
We purchased a silver Sebring LXi sedan with all available options four months ago. Overall, we have been incredibly happy with this car so far.
The 200-hp 2.7L V6 has plenty of power and sounds neat to boot. It is fun ripping up V6 Mustangs!...

Pros: great acceleration
lasts a long time Cons: low to the ground
The Bottom Line: good car to buy if you can find it at a reasonable price. if you like a car with basics but good engine, this is it
i bought this car used about 2 years and 2 months ago (august 2005) and lucked out by finding one with 45k on it. I test drove a couple cars that i could afford at the time, but nothing compared to this in power for the price. sure is has a couple ...

Pros: great handling, hip styling Cons: RELIABILITY The Bottom Line: Fun to drive, good looking, decent fuel economy. A great car, especially if you like to visit the auto-repair man. You'll get to be great friends.
Cool lines, a sporty stance, fun to drive . . . when it drives.
In terms of out-of-the factory suspension, the Chrysler Sebring is tough to beat. The ride is smooth and the handling is tight; bumps seem insubstantial and body roll is minimal....

Pros: front seat comfort, quiet ride, interior styling, competitive pricing Cons: fog lamps can only be used with headlights on, no body colored side mirrors The Bottom Line: I recommend at least test driving the Sebring if you are at all interested in a vehicle in its class. I was convinced after one test drive
I compared this car extensively against it's competitors( Galant, Accord, Stratus) it was the best combination of luxury and performance among them. The auto-stick transmission shifted smoothly even at high rpm. Color selection was plentiful. The only...

Pros: Rides well Cons: Near-zero reliability The Bottom Line: Avoid at all costs
After five years and a hundred thousand miles, we're throwing in the towel and turnin' 'er in. I'm almost tempted to tell the dealer that it's a new car, given that I've had to replace virtually everything on it since I bought it in 2001. Now, it's ...

Pros: Stylish, very smooth ride, excellent acceleration, spacious Cons: Interior could be quieter The Bottom Line: If I had the opportunity to go back in time and choose a new vehicle for $18,000 knowing what I know now, I would buy the 2001 Sebring again!
I've owned my Sebring for 6 months now and for an $18k car I have easily received my money's worth. The car runs great, accelerates very well and rides smoothly. The cruise control is sweet! No problems with the interior that I can come up with, controls...

Pros: Interior, stereo, gas mileage, 17" chrome rims, low maintenance, regular unleaded Cons: Horrible Horrible turning radius, lagging from the auto transmission, wierd grumbling from the exhaust??? The Bottom Line: For the price you pay, you couldn't ask for much more.
I'd get another one.
I bought this car last year in May of 04 and have put 20,000 miles on it in a year. For the most part I am pleased with this car, no real complaints. Its a great combination of sport and luxury. The 200hp engine gets going nicely and the I love the ...

Pros: Styling, performance, mileage Cons: interior The Bottom Line: All in all, i love this car. If your looking at a Honda Accord Coupe or Toyota Solara, try this one out.
The only answer to these questions is the Sebring LXi ... (and its twin, the Dodge Stratus Coupe) ... I have owned this car for over 6 months now and I still highly recomend this car. Why?
1) the V6, Manual, Coupe combo ... nothing out there...

Pros: Nice styling and performance with 2.7L V-6, great gas mileage Cons: Electrical Gremlins still causing problems. Vehicle has many "first year blues". The Bottom Line: This car seems plagued with a number of first year gremlins. Hopefully, Chrysler will clean up their act before I go shopping again.
I bought this car for business use as a replacement for my high mileage 1998 Cirrus. I liked the styling, roominess, and the performance advantage it has over the V-6 Cirrus. This is the first year for the 4-door Sebring and its platform and drive ...

Pros: Style, Performance, Auto Stick Cons: Could use some more interior lighting
I bought this vehicle due to it's stylish beauty and the Auto Stick option. I've had mine for about a week now and the more I drive it the more I love it. It handles like nothing else in it's class and the auto stick is worth the extra 150 bucks. I'm a...

I will NEVER buy another Chrysler

Pros: stylish, nice sound system Cons: Lemon, several mechanical problems, every few months I was doing something to it.
I owned a brand new 2001 Chrysler Sebring LXi--141 miles on it when I signed the deal. The first three months I owned the car, I loved it, and from there, it just spiraled downward in satisfaction at an alarming rate. Three months post purchase, January 2002, my transmission sensor went out on the car (luckily I had warranty). The whole tenure of my ownership, the brakes squeaked and were replaced three times in the three years I owned this car. In November 2003, the rear axle broke on the car when I was driving down the interstate, and when the tow truck went to lift it onto the flat bed truck, the rear suspension fell out. Shortly after that, March 2004, my cam and crank sensors went out on my car. Finally in June 2004, my engine completely died, once again on an interstate. My steering went out, my brakes failed, everything. I have never had so many problems with a car in my life. It was a lemon that sucked my finances dry!
