Pros: Good balance of economy and power Cons: Smallish, slightly noisy, odd design features The Bottom Line: The Galant's a good entry in the small or midsize market; good for a smallish family and sporty enough to keep those new dads feeling young!
{Author's note -- this opinion is based on a three-day rental; not on ownership...}
Enterprise handed me the keys to a fresh-off-the-showroom floor Galant last week -- it had 18 miles on the odometer when I picked it up, and 532 when I dropped...

Pros: quiet as a mouse, smooth as a babies b.. Cons: difficult to find The Bottom Line: a vehicle that simply has it all
The brothers Mitsi and Bishi - hey?..whats that?..come of the grass - nobody in Japan has a name that long - Mitsubishi!, hardly. They all have names like Tojo, Ono, Yoko and Uno - do they not?
Anyway, when they decided to build the worlds...

Pros: I got a really good car with 105K miles on it for just $4K Cons: Average Galant quality is significantly lower that that of Accord of Camry The Bottom Line: You can get a good Mitsubishi, but it is a matter of careful choice. I would still recommend Toyota - their quality is better.
I am a big fan of Japanese cars: I do not care about the looks, all I care is quality. We just bought 2001 Mitsubishi Galant with 105K miles on it and I want to share my experiences. The Car Mitsubishi Galant is a flagship of Mitsubishi cars ...

Pros: Value, styling, handling and engines, good "smart" transmission, reliability and warranty coverage. Cons: I wish I could buy it with a stick shift, rattles, recalls, resale value The Bottom Line: I highly recommend Galant. It is a great value, safe, reliable and nice looking.
First of all – why I bought Galant:
1. Value – for the same price you cannot buy a similarly equipped competitor (Honda Accord or Toyota Camry). Even base DE model is very well equipped. The best value for the money is provided...

Pros: Good power, nice handling, smooth transmission, good price, quiet Cons: Cramped back, useless pass through The Bottom Line: A very good car. The only drawback compared to the Accord, Maxima or Camry is rear seat space. Otherwise, a very well made car.
The Galant is a very good car indeed. I now have over 4600 miles on the car. The first day I drove in it, I was immediately impressed at the solidity of the car, and the quiet, smooth ride. It's as smooth as an accord, but much cheaper. As soon as you ...

Pros: Stylish, reliable, powerful great handling Cons: Fit and finish sub par, a little noisy, gas guzzler. The Bottom Line: This is a solid car, roomy and comfortable. It is much cheaper than a comparatively equipped Camry.
This is my second Galant. My first, a 1989 model, was extremely reliable and the fit and finish was impeccable. My biggest problem with the car was it was somewhat under powered. I enjoyed that car so much that I decided to go with a Galant again but...

Pros: Sporty, Sleek, Stylish, Comfortable, Value Cons: Slightly noisy, lack of performance options, The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to someone who wants a cheaper midsize slightly luxury car. Small families in mind, and college students or first time car-owners.
So, I bought a used 2001 Mitsubishi Galant ES V6. I am going to stick my neck out there and say it's one of the best cars that I have driven, in it's price range ($30,000 is going to buy you a lot of nice!) I bought the car with 95K miles already on ...

Pros: BMW Styling for a Mitsubishi Price! Cons: Horrible resale value, soft paint, and soft metal. The Bottom Line: Great car if you buy used!
Well I got my 2001 Galant ES V6 in November 2000. It was a beautiful Kalapana Black with tan interior. The 3.0L V6's in the Galant has 195HP that is extremely well balanced in this car. It ran like silk and then like a monster when you needed it too. I ...

Pros: Quiet Ride, Stylish, Good Pickup, Nice Standard Sound System Cons: None as of Yet The Bottom Line: Bottom Line, great car, and very stylish would recommend you take a test drive TODAY.
I LOVE MY CAR!!! What really sold me on this car was the stylish look, and the smooth comfortable ride it gives. For this to be a mid-size car it really handles curves extremely well. I made a quick and sharp U-turn and it handles like a small compact...

Pros: Good looking, comfortable on trips, good mileage, trouble free. Cons: CD skips after long use. The Bottom Line: A good value for the dollar and very reliable.
I bought my first Mitsu the Fall of 2000, a 2001 Galant. For the buck, I couldn't find a better car. It looked great, ran great, had good reviews and was a lot cheaper than a Toyota or Honda of the same size. The car has been trouble free. The only ...

Pros: Smooth ride and handling, Fog Lights, Premium Cloth Seats, Anti-Theft radio, Styling Cons: No ABS, Smallish back seat, Bland Interior, Weird Cup Holders The Bottom Line: The 2001 Mitsubishi Galant ES is a nice car that has all the attributes of a mid-size car at a cheaper price.
I am a 16 year old girl whose first car is a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant. One day my mom and I ventured to Enterprise's Used Car sale, and the silver Mitsubshi Galant ES was outside ready for me. I fell in love with the car and urged my mother to buy it. It...

Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing The Bottom Line: The best car I ever owned. (And to date I've owned 15+) I LOVED IT.
I LOVED THIS CAR. In April 2001, my husband and I decided that with the rising gas prices in our area our best decision was to sell my 1998 1/2 ton Chevy pickup for a car. At first I was hesitant because I would no longer have 4 wheel drive, we live in...

Pros: Stylish, reliable, safe Cons: Paint seems a little weak, no remote trunk release The Bottom Line: Go buy this car!
I purchased my 2001 Galant ES after lots of comparison. I really shopped for the right car. The Galant has excellent safety and dependability ratings, which were both very important to me. The car also has a European look to me, very similar to the...

Pros: Performance, teuthonic styling , value for the money, comfort. Cons: 1. No remote control for gas tank.
2. Could use folding rear view mirrors. The Bottom Line: If you want to have nice looking and fast car, Galant is for you. Nevertheless, I outran BMW 325is in my ES V6 yesterday...twice...
I did a lot of homework before I even went to the dealerships. We needed a second car for my wife and I didn't want to buy something like Corolla or Civic. We could afford more expensive cars and I gave a shot to BMW 325i and Mercedes-Benz C240. After...
