Dependable MiniVan

by e_commentor

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Roomliness,Quite Ride,Rear A/C,Cheap preowned, Dependable
Cons: Gas mileage
The Bottom Line: Recommended for those who do not want to spend too much and need a dependable minivan.

Buying Preowned Nissan Quest In July 2006 I was looking for "decent" pre owned car. I never premeditated any make or model. I was interested in buying from a private seller to avoid any brokerage charge that goes into the pocket of dealer instead ...

Pros: Plush, works well so far
Cons: Cruddy gas mileage ( blame the engine and vehicle size )
The Bottom Line: It seems well built and works well so far

My original review of the Quest was posted for the 2000 model, not the 2001 ( oops ); this will be the correction.

My mom bought a Nissan Quest this year. Why a Quest? She needs something fairly large, and station wagons aren't built much...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Nicely equipped standard features
Cons: On the small side
The Bottom Line: Fantastic vehicle, Quiet, Comfortable Reliable and nice looking.

I compared the top 5 selling minivans before selecting the Quest. (The quest is not in the top 5 but should be!)
The first thing that hooked me was the abundance of standard features. The base model is equipped with power locks and windows, Cruise...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Nice looks great standard features
Cons: gas mileage
The Bottom Line: Great Minivan even for macho guys who claim they are built for married people.

This is a big improvement from the 1999 model. I owned a 1999 Quest SE for two years. However, while driving the minivan you could hear noises coming from places that not even Nissan mechanics could detect where they were coming from. The standard...

No other minivan drives like this one

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Handling, styling, features, comfort
Cons: this model is going end-of-life in 2002
The Bottom Line: Best handing van out there. Comfortable and quiet and you can probably get a good deal on it

This is a great van. I had a 93 Quest that we drove for 100K mi. until it hit a bridge abutment, the car was totalled, but the occupants were unscathed. Went out to replace it and drove/looked at every van out there. GM vans -- they just don't get it....

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: HANDELING,comfort, free vid, bang for the buck, 5 star crash protect in 2001
Cons: MPG, my dealer!
The Bottom Line: Bet it lasts as long as a Sienna but cost less and has lots of extras, comfort and driveability. Hurry and get one.

Quickly, the cons: gas mileage 14.5 in town! This had better change!! I have had it for under 1000 miles, so we shall see if this improves. Dealership: Lynnes in NJ-go someplace else. I have no idea if they are a reflection on ohter Nissan dealer...

Best "bang for the buck"!!

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great Value, Loaded with features, Nice handeling/smooth ride
Cons: No "drop down" third seat. No electric doors. Poor offset crash test results.
The Bottom Line: Would recommend this minivan to any small family that wants a great riding vehicle, and can sacrifice a 'little" cargo area...............

I have a family of four and have looked into several minivans (Mazda MPV, Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna).
Each van has its own advantages: Honda (design, size, safety), Toyota (performance, reliability), Mazda (interior design)....The reason iI did...

Pros: It handles good on the road
Cons: Things keep getting stuck or fall of.
I have always owned a Nissan but this mini-van is giving me problems with the electronic windows keep getting stuck, The sliding doors keep getting stuck and the handle came off on the passengers side. Rubber trim on step on side of minivan keeps coming out I keep putting it back in. The passenger seat by the sliding door keeps getting stuck. The plastic cup holder on the passengers seats came off.
