Pros: handling, acceleration, seating versatility, Cons: historical unreliability, mediocre gas mileage, no console The Bottom Line: In a country overrun by SUVs, the minivan represents a reasonable alternative. This one's a better alternative than most.
Back in the dawn of time -- before much of the Epinions community was even a gleam in Daddy's eye -- I used to drive a minivan. Yep, ten years before Chrysler-Plymouth burst on the scene with their first edition of what became the quintessential...

Pros: Perfect for a family, beautiful large car, plenty of power, great access with 5 doors. Cons: Stupid fancy electronics, such as lights that dont go out when switched off. The Bottom Line: A well-designed, well-built economical vehicle for families.
This is our third Caravan; we previously owned a 1990 Dodge Caravan, a 1996 Plymouth Voyager, and now a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan, which we have driven for 2 months and 6000 km.
WHY THE 2002 CARAVAN?
Mainly because of satisfaction and...

Pros: Plenty of Room, simple to operate. Cons: I hate the white on the instrument panel. Whose Idea was this?????? The Bottom Line: YES
Ok, it was never said I was easy to please. After 5 months of looking for the perfect car, I decided on the Dodge Caravan. Why?
This was my first Van. I had driven a Dodge Shadow for years with no problems (and I still have it), so I was...

Pros: Room, ride, ease of handling, ability to run on E85 Cons: MPG not great, heavy rear seats, front seats could be more comfortable The Bottom Line: I recommend this van, although next time I would get a higher-level model for the better seats. Spend a little more ... it's worth it!
I never buy new cars. I hate the very thought of a car losing a huge chunk of value as soon as I drive it off of the dealer's lot, so I buy used. And, with four kids, we need a van. Oh, sure, there are other vehicle choices out there that seat six, ...

Pros: Very roomy and handles extremely well Cons: Gas guzzler that might be hard on transmissions The Bottom Line: I just don't feel this vehicle is a good value, for the money, when you can spend less money and get a better vehicle.
I work for a company that has several Grand Caravans as business leases. I drive my 2002 Grand Caravan enough that I must stop for gas once a day, or walk home. I park it at my house every night. For the purposes of this review, I might as well say...

Pros: Pretty good gas mileage, good looks, reliability, roomy. Cons: None immediately apparent. The Bottom Line: This is an excellent vehicle for a family looking for more room, just be sure to review the Consumer Reports for the year/model you're looking at before you buy.
So the wife wanted to replace the Buick LeSabre with something more "family-oriented", which to her meant a van. After looking around and doing our research, we decided on a Dodge van, due to the good reputation. Our search lead us to a 2002 Grand ...

Pros: Roomy, comfortable, safe feeling ride; Extended Warranty is great. Cons: Could be a LOT better on fuel consumption. The Bottom Line: I would buy this again unless someone else had a more fuel efficient mini-van.
I really like my Dodge Caravan SE. It's a great vehicle. It was the first brand new car my wife an I ever bought. What do I like: It's been great for moving stuff around - lots of cargo space when you take some seats out. It's great for ...

Pros: Looks, ride, interior layout, drive train, Daytime running lamps. Cons: Tricky headlamps, handling. 3.3 Liter V6 surges alot when stressed. The Bottom Line: Good performer and smooth reliable engine and smooth transmission. Good fit and finish is expected. Get it, it beats many other competitors just by its looks alone.
My family rented this van for our road trip to South Dakota from out home in Seattle. And because we had it for a week and drove it about 4,000 miles i had a chance to really test this minivans limits and capabilities. When my sister first brought it...

Pros: Smooth, quiet ride. Cons: No rear key locks, which makes opening the rear doors difficult. The Bottom Line: I would not recommend the 2002 Dodge Caravan, unless you purchase a higher-end model and options. Mechanically sound, but lacking in quality.
I recently leased a 2002 Dodge Caravan after ending my lease of a 1999 Dodge Caravan. We leased the base model, as we did with the 1999, thinking we would be pleased again. The new model, although a smooth ride, and so far is mechanically trouble-free,...

Pros: acceleration, looks, ride quality, comfortable seats, easy to maintain Cons: none The Bottom Line: It is much more fun vehicle than people give it credit for!
I bought this van in October of 2001 to replace our old 1991 Dodge Caravan 4 cylinder. It is my wife's vehicle, but also I like it. Although it has a lot more options than my 1991 Caravan, it is still kind of basic. We have the 3.3 flexible fuel V6, ...

Pros: roomy, smooth ride, good handling, Cons: small rear storage, The Bottom Line: Early miles indicate this is a well designed budget mini-van. Drives nice. Roomy. Trouble free so far.
Lured by Zero interest rates I decided to buy a mini-van in the $25,000 $CND range. I picked the Caravan over the Venture or Windstar wanting to get the most up-to-date design.
Unlock the van with a third party remote release and open the...

Pros: double side doors-great visibility-storage spaces-room for adults Cons: moving/removing third seat is complex, cumbersome The Bottom Line: Dodge wrote the minivan book and they're still king of the hill. Spending more on a Honda/Toyota/Nissan is just buying advertising hype; not a better van.
First, let me say that I don't own one of these--I travel extensively with a portable display to conventions and trade shows. I've rented about five of these in different cities. My experience is based upon someone that doesn't own a Dodge or Chrysler...

Pros: Smooth ride, comfortable seating, plenty of flexible storage, split rear seat. Dual/rear temp. is awsome. Cons: 3.3 engine is a little small for the grand caravan. Powersliding doors are very sensitive. The Bottom Line: Bottom line-I'd buy another one but would try to get a larger engine- even if it meant moving to a higher model.
I have a Grand Caravan Sport with a 3.3 4 speed. Most of the vehicle is well designed and well optioned.
The rear split seat is nice for storage flexibility but not very comfortable for the person sitting on the split. The rollers on the seats...
