Pros: Price, quality look and feel, sophisticated styling Cons: Tall people won't fit, ride, rear seat, handling near the limit The Bottom Line: Inside and out looks and feels much more expensive than it is. Lacks competitors' finesse near the limit, but also does without tacky styling details. A great buy.
The automobile market is currently awash in cars that look nice on the outside but look and feel cheap on the inside. Nissan products leap especially to mind, but many domestic brands also do poorly here. More and more, it seems you must spend over ...

Pros: 6-speed manual transmission, Interior and exterior design, Price. Cons: V6 offers less horsepower than much of the competition's 4-cylinders, V8 fuel economy. The Bottom Line: While not as fast as the competition, the 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 offers good acceleration, an excellent interior, and looks to die for.
Once a small sports coupe built on the Hyundai Elantra's platform, and a car with a 140 horsepower engine as its up-scale power plant, the Hyundai Tiburon for 2002; sold as a 2003 model comes with an all new suspension, optional V6 power, and ...

Pros: Head-turning looks, excellent build quality inside and out. Killer sound system. Tremendous value. Cons: Overall performance only adequate. Uncomfortable back seat. The Bottom Line: Hyundai has a winner here. It's a knock-out, with high quality and value to boot. It's a lazier performer than some competitors, but still a great touring coupe.
These days, almost every Hyundai review starts with a small blurb on how bad Hyundai cars used to be, and "now look at how far they have come". Although Hyundai's sales have improved dramatically over the years because of this quantum leap in quality ...

Pros: A new revolution in features and price; Refined and robust; quiet and smooth ride Cons: No traction The Bottom Line: Hyundai is setting the standard in what coupes should feature and be priced like. All car enthusiasts who are looking for value will get this one!
With the all-new 2003 sports coupe, many observers and picky car enthusiasts and industry insiders have quietly admitted that Hyundai has arrived. The 2003 Hyundai Tiburon is a trendsetter when it comes to what types of features and value competitive...

Pros: Smoooooth tranny, beautiful styling, cheap Cons: Some interior peices seem cheap, poor gas mileage The Bottom Line: Nice looking cheap car, my choise would probably be Civic or Celica, but this is still a good car.
My roomate bought his 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT used last year when his slow-dying VW Jetta stopped dying so slowly. He drove it off the lot with 22k on the clock, all the while the poor Jetta was spewing coolant on the dealer's lot. My roomate isn't a ...

Pros: Styling, loaded with options, V6 torque well-suited to real world driving Cons: Fuel consumption, some harshness/rattles, relentless understeer The Bottom Line: Where else can you spend CDN$25000 and have people honestly mistake your car for an exotic?
When my last car, a 1993 Mazda MX-6 with 226000 kilometers on the clock, started presenting me with regular repair bills for three hundred, five hundred, or nine hundred dollars, I knew it was time to move on. Rather than carefully considering my ...

Pros: Inexpensive, nice looking, great standard 'options', confidence-building warranty Cons: Poor visibility, limited acceleration, no back-seat space, poor gas consumption The Bottom Line: Good buy for those on a budget
Last July, when my ten-year old Geo Storm finally gave up the good fight, and died at the side of the road amidst clouds of smoke and steam, I was forced into buying a new car. I should state right up front that I consider cars to be wonderful ...

Pros: Good styling, cant-be-beat warranty, fun to drive, good acceleration Cons: Cramped back seat, a few recalls The Bottom Line: Fun and affordable
I have owned this car for 2.5 years and it has been a really good car, but not great. I say not great because I have had a few problems (all of which were corrected promptly by the dealership)but these problems have not lowered my enthusiasm for the ...

Pros: Fun to drive, very solidly built Cons: Paint issues, harsh ride at times The Bottom Line: Want fun for little cash? Here's your ticket to ride!
This is an updated and revised review of the 2003 GT model with automatic. Everything remains stock except for the wheels and tires (which I upgraded to 17" and Toyos) and a few cosmetic changes. I don't consider the Tiburon to be a true ...

Pros: Great looks, Nice gearbox, predictable handling, roomy for a sports car Cons: Give me a little more power and a little less weight! The Bottom Line: I'm giving this car an excellent rating because it simply cannot be beat for the price! The car far surpassed my expectations and makes me happy!

Pros: Price, sporty. Tons of things come standard, good sound system Cons: Backseat, gas mileage The Bottom Line: For what you pay, you get a ton of features and one of the best looking affordable cars out on the road.
I bought a 2004 Tiburon (Auto I4) and am more than happy with the car. First of all, you can't beat the value. You get power locks, power windows, power mirrors, remote entry, alarm, CD player and air conditioning standard on the base model which retails ...

Pros: Sexy styling, good performance, and handling, loads of features for the price. Cons: No power seats, somewhat limited visibility, below average gas mileage. The Bottom Line: A really nice looking, well put together car for an extremely reasonable price. A terrific value.
My wife, and I first saw one of these cars on display inside of a shopping mall this past summer. We fell in love with the looks of it right away, and since we were going to be shopping for a new car later in the year, we decided that the 2003 Tiburon...

Pros: shark like appearance, general handling, standard features, great initial quality Cons: rear seat room, EPA mileage The Bottom Line: The 2003 Tiburon hits the mark on virtually every count for the market it's aimed for. Low price, quality craftsmanship, good handling, awesome good looks.
Shopping for a 2 door hatchback is not that difficult. In the under $20,000 price range you really only have 3 and soon to be 2 vehicles to choose from. Toyota Celica, Mercury Cougar (discontinued for 2003) and Hyundai Tiburon.
When my mother...

Pros: price, style, quality, fun, attention getter, roomy front, stereo system Cons: eventual hatch noise, small backseat The Bottom Line: If you don't want to spend $50,000 for a quality, luxury sports car, get the Tiburon!
I bought my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon brand new in 2002. I previously owned the 2001, and as soon as I saw the new body style, I was drooling and knew I was going to get my hands on the 2003 as soon as I could. The 2003's looks are crowd-stopping. I don't ...

Pros: Low price, high standard features, Ferrari looks, fun to drive straight, warranty Cons: Not as nimble as its peers, not likely to be reliable, very cramped The Bottom Line: There are better vehicles, but without the Ferrari looks.
I had been awaiting Hyundai's release of their 2003 Tiburon for months before it hit showroom floors. The car promised to be the best looking vehicle on the road for under 30 grand and touted a tuned V6 and a 6-speed transmission for a budget price....
