Great! - But With One Flaw

by RichBoston Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Oct 09 '00
Pros: Offers Excellent Protection
Cons: Palm Must Be Removed to Sync
The is the dumbest, ugliest, overpriced item in the entire array of Palm accessories. Now go out and buy one! Well.....wait and read this first – there is one qualifier.

The Bumper will hold a Palm III series (except the IIIc), Palm...

Bumpy Bumper Ride

by quasar Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Dec 21 '00
Pros: Very protective, two stylus silos
Cons: difficult to get on and off, interferes with contrast button on PPPros
I wanted the Bumper case to be the answer to all of my problems. I really wanted to use it as my everyday Palm case and know that I could drop my Palm and it would be well protected. I wanted to, but I couldn't.

I won the Bumper case at a New...

Armor for your Pilot... but

by tolivercrash , Aug 02 '00
Pros: Solid feeling, keeps pilot safe
Cons: Difficult removal impedes HotSyncing
I have a Palm Pilot Personal with the 2MB/infrared/3.0 upgrade. I've tried several different cases/covers for my Pilot. There's the plastic one that's just a snap on cover to protect the screen; flimsy and obtrusive. A leather one that opened like a book...

Very Solid

by ebrandwein , Apr 10 '00
Pros: Very solid, good price.
Cons: No belt clip.
The Bumper is the most protective of the five Palm III cases that I have tried. My machine survived a bad fall on the NYC Subway a while back thanks to this case. Getting the machine in and out is tricky until you get used to the case. The way to do...

An essential accessory

by rikardia , Jul 31 '00
Pros: Protects Your PalmPilot
Cons: A Tight Fit at First
Why did I buy the Bumper? Because I drop things sometimes, and I was afraid of dropping an expensive electronic device. This is the first Palm accessory I bought, and I think it's one of the most essential accessories. The Bumper protects your Palm from...

Style & protection

by carpedm , Oct 06 '99
Pros: Style, protection, and features
Cons: Have to take it out to sync, a little bulky
This is a great case. Not only does it dress up your Palm (Pilot, Pro, III or V), it protects it from damage by padding the corners with rubber. I accidentally dropped my palm 4 feet onto concrete in a Bumper -- it bounced, cartwheeled, and turned on...

how will your friends accept your bumper

by Kevin_Stewart , Dec 15 '00
Pros: great protection
Cons: a bit bulky
My need for this case arose when my old Palm IIIx fell apart due to the wear and tear I subject it to on a daily basis. I continually banged it against stuff and dropped it a few times. This case solves both problems and even a few more. The case is...

Awesome Case For Palm V
by lady_lavender ,Jul 11 '04
Pros: Great foam and rubber protection. Cover clips securely onto the back of the case.
Cons: Must remove from case to HotSync. A bit bulky. Hard to find replacement styli.
I just can't say how much I love this case. I am a first-time PDA user and this case came with the Palm V I purchased used. It is designed for use with the Palm III series and the Palm V series. It has a foam insert to make the fit snug for the Palm V. I have not tried it with any other PDA. But, it is a great case for the Palm V. It is not hard to get the V in and out of the case. There is room to put a stylus inside the case when used with the V. It has an IR window for beaming. It fits well in my backpack which is very small. I have not dropped it but I've read about people that have without incident. I feel very confident of it protecting my V.
