Pros: cheap & reliable Cons: serial port config , only 30-bit , spurious printer errors
If, and only if you need a scanner for an older PC, actually pre-USB, then this is a pretty good choice.
I wanted to hook up a scanner to an old HP machine and needed a device that would connect up through the serial port. I'd heard many...

Pros: EASY to use Cons: Needs to be hooked up exactly the way it says to be hooked up
I've only had a home computer for about two years now and I finally decided last December that I needed a scanner. So I went out to Staples and asked the guy what was best for a beginner, he picked the 3200C out, I paid and was on my merry way. The total...

Pros: quality of scan "OK" Cons: Loud, slow , not reliable
When I first purchased this scanner I should have known to take it back! It was way too loud and scanned way too slow. And of course, I only had a limited time to return it to the store and have lost my opportunity. Ive tried calling technical support...

Pros: Ease of use and installation Cons: No On/Off Button
After reading all the different reviews regarding scanners, I chose the HP 3200C, and I have been very happy with my choice. After getting home it took only about 15 minutes and I had everything up and running and ready to scan.
I have...

Pros: Price Cons: Can be slow to warm up.
I have had this scanner for about 2 months. I really like it. The setup was easy, I didn't even have to wait for my boyfriend to do it for me! I bought this scanner to use in my hobby of scrapbooking. It allows me to scan pictures to adjust the size...

Pros: good quality scans, fast, easy to use Cons: Scanned pictures can have streaks on them if it is the first scan of the day. No USB port
We bought the HP 3200 for our office about a year ago. I have used other scanners in the past like Mustek and Microtek, but the HP ScanJet has them beat in this price class. The HP 3200C is simple to install and even easier to use. It's quick and the...

Pros: easy set up,nice clear scans, user friendly software Cons: rattles when scanning,no instruction booklet
I recently received my HP scanner via Santa Claus. As for this is my first scanner I truly dont have much to compare to. But I can give my opinion on the ease of set up and to the speed that I was able to scan and print my first picture. ...

Pros: Hooks up easy, easy interface Cons: Easily broken, Customer service Expensive
We bought the scanner, brand new, 6 months ago. It hooked up nicely and easily and was, to me, a GREAT find. I used it at least once a week for about 3 months. On the 4th month I started noticing yellow streaks in my scans. Since the warranty only is for...

Pros: Low cost, easy to use Cons: Bulky, poor tech support, scanning bulb always on
I purchased this scanner over a year ago, and at first I had no problems with it. The software with it is easy to use, and the quality is decent.
One bad thing about it was that it caused the mouse pointer to freeze up for a few seconds...

Pros: Large enough area you can scan, reliabilty, clear images, good value Cons: .gif images are poor quality, can be confusing to use
When it comes to scanners under $110, the HP scanjet 3200C rocks. It is simple to use and produces clear images when in .jpg format. In .gif format it produces very grainy, fuzzy images.
My only beef with this scanner is that it produces...

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to understand instructions. Cons: No on/off switch.
I purchased this scanner at Circuit City Stores after returning from our trip to Hawaii. We went solely on the recommendation of the salesman considering the maximum we wanted to spend (Approximately $100). The ScanJet 3200C, 600x1200 ppi, was so simple...

Pros: great scanning at a great price Cons: packaged hp scanning software is horrible
I bought this scanner about six months ago and for $59 after rebate, I couldn’t beat the price. I got it back to the office, and discovered, much to my chagrin, that the HP software packaged with the scanner does not work with Windows NT. (I...

I have tried many scanners who claim they are perfect for photos, text etc. but none have worked well until now. It is user friendly which helps the novice and even the experienced ones who have trouble understanding what they read (like me) I scanned...
