Technics SL-MC7 CD Player/Changer

by dkozin dkozin is a Lead on Epinions in Electronics, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Aug 01 '00
Pros: Relatively compact size, good sound, optical digital out
Cons: It takes about 10 seconds per disc change
Looking at the Technics SL-MC7 110+1 CD changer, you would not think that it holds 110 discs behind its see-through panel. The front panel flips down, so you can easily access the discs inside. They are loaded in slots and can be played in any...

Shut the TV and LISTEN!

by panzor5 , May 05 '03
Pros: Great Storage capacity, easy to use, very good quality sound
Cons: Like any other machine, it takes some reading and understanding to get maximum usage.
My problem was a huge stack of CDs and running out of storage space. This cd player allows you to store your cds inside the machine. You can house 110 cd inside the machine, all kept safe and dust free. There is 1 additional cd slot that is reserved for...

Good Player for the price.

by cthulhudragon , Feb 09 '03
Pros: Large capacity, attractive price, relatively fast switching.
Cons: Poor remote, no keyboard support.
I picked this player up for ~$130 and have been quite pleased with it. For a mega changer the disc changing is fairly fast, but a little noisy. This unit has CD-Text support which is nice, but very few discs seem to have CD-Text info. The one thing...

my SL-MC7 died last month (updated)

by gordot2 , Apr 13 '02
Pros: Excellent sound, faster change than many jukeboxes
Cons: time from poweron to first disc played is high (15s). Died after 18 months.
My wife and I got this as a trade-in for a duplicate wedding present. Coming up on our 18 month anniversary, this player now won't recognize any discs. Starting to investigate the warranty and repair options, I came here looking for any other...
