Pros: sleek, plays clearly, 40-sec anti-shock Cons: no radio
I needed a cheap portable CD player, and I needed it quick. So a couple of months ago, I purchased the Panasonic SL-SX270 at the local BestBuy. It basically serves the purpose of playing CDs clearly with simplistic operations. It was reasonably...
Pros: Very portable, inexpensive, great sound output on hi-fi stereos, very user-friendly, stylish, superb anti-skip system, made in Japan Cons: None significant
The SL-SX270 is a basic portable CD player. There aren't many fancy features, just your basic play-and-go functionalities. Since I only wanted an inexpensive, good portable CD player, the SL-SX270 fit the bill perfectly and has exceeded my...
Pros: The ASM rocks, Compact, Inexpensive, Battery Life, Sound, Good Button Layout, Case and Easy Operation Cons: No LCD on remote, Headphones
This is basically my first venture into the world of portable music. I was looking for a decent player of some sort to play my tunes on. I looked at Mini-disks, MP3 players, and CD players. Based on how much I needed and how much money I had, I decided...
Pros: Great skip protection, good battery life, EQ settings better than most, small, lightweight Cons: Poor headphones
I'd like to consider myself and audiophile (someone very criticle of music), but I don't have alot of cash. So I was in search of a CD player that might bring the level of enjoyment that I get listening to expensive stereo systems.
I did...
Pros: great battery life, attractive but not gimmicky, reliable, functional Cons: mediocre head phones, only one analog output, "Train" equalization sounds terrible
I read around a lot, including at epinions, and decided that this player was what I was looking for. I purchased it from an online retailer. I immediately liked the attractive, not gimmicky and tacky, color and trim of this CD player. I was impressed...
Pros: Cheap, reliable, excellent battery life, good sound, no skipping whatsoever. Cons: doesn't come with a modem (kidding)Like most CD players headphone is poor.
Even though I am starting to hate Panasonic brand, I could not allow my Bias to take over me on writing this review, this is a great player.
I bought this model when it had just come out, perhaps 3 years ago, but I am not 100% sure.

I recently went on a seemingly endless hunt for the "right" personal CD player that would both suit my needs and fulfill my wants. My search began with a Christmas gift of a Sony D-E200. I was very displeased with this player. First of all...
Pros: Just about Everything Cons: digital screen non-luminating
One major factor that played a role in me buying this type of cd player, was the price. I actually bought it on sale at Circuit City for $54.99 as opposed to their retail price of $62.99. It was money well spent. It came with a car kit(cigarette...
Pros: Portable, Long battery life, easy, durable, clear sound Cons: what more could you want?
I found a discman on sale for $50 (canadian) and picked it up. The discman worked great...I thought. It only had 10 second anti-shock and it ate up batteries every two days. So I returned that one, and went to find a more practical discman. I...
Pros: Great price, brand, sound, size, looks, features. Cons: Headphones aren't great. I bought one that fit in ear for a few bucks.
This is a very good portable cd player. This happened to be my first one to purchase. I spent hours looking over all the models. I wanted great features, brand, and PRICE! This fullfills all those extremely easily.
Pros: Small, good battery life, 40 second shock protection. Cons: No radio.
This CD player is awesome. I was at the store (bestbuy) looking at what to buy, and ofcorse, the guy kept saying "Get the Sony G Protection." blah blah, cuz this CD player was 70 bucks and that Sony was like...98 at the time, so I kept saying there seems...
Pros: very affordable, it has everything i need in a cd player Cons: does not have a lot of the high-tech features found on more recent models
I've had this CD player for a long time now (a year or more, i think...). It has served me well and I have no major complaints about it. When I went to buy myself a portable CD player to keep me entertained on the long bus rides to and from school, I...
Pros: Stylish design, intuitive interface, super light-weight and portable, good S-XBS EQ, 40 second ASM. Cons: No radio, crummy headphones. Long-term durability concerns?
I'm a kid with a frugal streak, a character trait mostly prompted by the fact that I have a very limited reserve of spare cash which I'm forced to spread across a very wide range of interests. However, even though I can't always afford the...
Pros: cool design, exceptional anti-skip system, acceptable sound with earphones, pop-up disc eject system Cons: no remote, slightly bulky, S-XBS sound
I bought my SL-SX270 cd player last year as my first CD player...9 months later it broke cause I accidentally dropped it...but I am giving out my opinion about this fine cheap CD player after 9 months of service. Now the one who succeeds into bringing me...
Pros: 40-second Antiskip, Great quality, Fast, ETC! Cons: I don't have any!
I must say, I absolutely LOVE it. I've had it for only a couple of weeks, but the thing is amazing. Before this one, I had a CRAIG with NO Anti-skip, sucked the batteries like crazy, and just didn't sound very good. This was one of the original...
I have purchased at least a half dozen different CD players in the last 5 years and none would have stood up to this one. Of course, maybe that isn't the most fair of comparisons since technology has been enhanced substantially for portable CD players...
Pros: Great price, great looking, great playback, basically just great! Cons: Cheap headphones...but what's new?
Since I was a nipper I've always bought Panasonic electronics. Every Panasonic product I've bought has been quality, lasted for years and has been reasonably priced. This CD-Player is no exception.
Pros: Lightweight but tough, great sound, beautiful looking player Cons: Small volume control wheel
I have had this CD player from Panasonic for about six months. It has completely lived up to my expectations of Panasonic being probably about the best low-end audio/video equipment on the market. (This was true 20 years ago, when I purchased my first...
Pros: Small, Light weight, Good looks, 40 second anti-shock, CHEAP! Cons: No back-lit display
I had a panasonic SL-S361C which i loved. I paid $89.99 for it. It had 40 second anti-shock memory 2 and had a long battery life as well as excellent sound. I had it for about a year until i accidently dropped it in my pool. I was without a cd player for...
Pros: gets the job done, best bang for your buck Cons: headphones could be better, bass change is not as significant as some players
A while ago, I was presented with a difficult decision- go with the Sony portable cd player that is trusted to perform, or a Panasonic player that costs 20 bucks less?
Since I am writing this review, it is pretty clear which option I chose....
Pros:Great Sound, Cheap, Sexy, 40 Second Antishock Cons:Gets confused and stops playing, but literally apologizes by displaying "SORRY"
I have owned this CD player for more than a year now. It was an extremely good value, because i won it at iwin.com! It came in the mail to me, completely free of charge! But, $70 for this baby is well worth it.
Pros: Low Price, Good Quality Cons: No Remote, somewhat bulky
I bought this player to replace my old CD player that had only a puny 3 sec anti-shock protection. My old player would skip whenever i walked faster than normal, which was quite bothersome.
I came across this player at Sears when they were...
Pros: Good value, shock-resistance for mild jogging Cons: Tempermental On/Play button, no real battery monitor
They designed it so the same button turns the unit on and puts it in play mode. Press it again and it pauses the playing; A third time to disengage the pause.
That would be OK if the button worked every time, but it doesn't. Sometimes you...
Pros: good price Cons: bad quality. cheap headphones, no radio
this cd player is good for many casual reasons. It plays music, it has some different options. The options are easy to use and the music is easy to hear. The cons of this cd player are that the headphones are cheap. Dont worry about that though because...
Pros: long battery life, 40 second anti-shock memory, reasonable price Cons: my anti-shock doesn't work anymore!
Bought this CD player for jogging. It was working perfectly until a little over a year after owning it. I go jogging 3~4 times a week. Recently, the anti-skip protection has not been working. I have to hold the CD player in a horizontal position for...
Pros: Value Cons: Sound--some songs don't come in too well (on homemade CDs).
I have had this CD player for over 4 years and it is finally dying. After dropping it numerous times over the years, the last drop was its last. (It was a big drop -- off the treadmill, while running, about 4+ feet down.) The skip protection is very good, had only slight problems on a random basis. I'm now researching CD players to replace it and am looking to get another Panasonic since I have had such good luck with this one. Overall, I have enjoyed this CD player and have gotten more than my money worth.
I have had this cd player for years and it has never let me down. It has never skipped once. I have dropped this cd player on hard cement multiple times and it still works as good as new. If all you want is a cd player that can play normal cd's then this is the perfect cd player. The only reason I am getting something else is because i want something that can do more things like a minidisk player but otherwise i would have never left this wonderful cd player.
