Pros: Great, and I mean great, list of features. Fairly secure 2.4GHz Digital. Cons: Poor, and I mean poor, voice quality both incoming and outgoing.
My very old 900Mhz Toshiba Cordless finally went out and I picked up this baby from a local store. The old Toshiba had nice voice quality and I figured these days those new 2.4GHz digital units would blow me away. One of the reasons I picked this unit is...
Pros: Ease of use, clear instructions, battery
life, male voice prompts. Cons: Ringer could be a bit louder.
After owning a Panasonic cordless phone (pre 900mgz) for almost 12 yrs, I decided to upgrade. My 12 year old Panasonic cordless is still running on the original battery, and if this new phone is half as good, I'll be happy. The instruction manual makes...
Pros: The price was great for all the fine features it has. Cons: Doesn't have a call screening feature on the handset.
The Panasonic KX-TG2247S phone/answering machine would be a fine choice for most people, in my opinion. You get real good value for the money. There are lots of nice bells and whistles to play around with. The system was very easy to set up. I liked the...
Pros: great features, all the bells and whistles Cons: horrible reception and voice quality
I bought this phone from Walmart for around $100 thinking it would be the best phone I'd ever owned, afterall, it was the most expensive one I'd ever had. I was so wrong. The voice quality was horrible. Everyone who called me asked if I was having...
Pros: attactive, reasonable cost, good features Cons: takes a while to learn features and set them up
Our old phone finally gave out and we decided to be more space efficient by buying a phone and answering system in one. My husband picked this up at Best Buy for about $80. I never expected he would choose "plum" but it's actually a really pretty...
Pros: Many features Cons: None of features work well
At first glance it has some pretty nice features, unfortunately the main features (such as using the phone to talk to people) don't work well. First of all, when I'm getting a phone call and I push the talk button to pick it up it can take several second ...
Pros: The speakerphone on the handset, but who cares if you can't use it. Cons: Too many to count.
I spent over 100 dollars on this phone. What a waste. I thought that it was defective at first because the battery only allows a couple hours of talk time. I was going to return it to Best Buy (dont even get me started on them) but then I talked to my friend who bought the exact same phone and his battery acted the exact same way. It appears to be just a poor design. And dont even try to use the speakerphone on the handset, unless you like to have 10 minute conversations that get cut off by a dead battery. Another thing, when someone is calling, and I press the talk button, it takes sometimes 4-5 seconds to pick up. Avoid at all costs.
Pros: Caller ID, speaker-phone in the handset, built-in answering machine, number recall and redial Cons: Sound quality is often poor with static and occasional dropouts. Short talk time per charge.
Most of the other reviewers have covered the issues with this phone quite well. My first Panasonic cordless phone was purchased in the 1980's (a KXT-3845) and believe it or not, it still works well (except for the Talk/Off button). Our second Panasonic phone, called the Sound Charger Plus, was never quite as good a phone as the first one. With the advent of Caller ID, we opted for the new phone with Caller ID and built-in answering machine thinking that the 2.4 GHz technology would offer a performance improvement. The promise of longer time between charging of the battery was also very tempting. This phone has literally been a big disappointment in almost every category.
Pros: Looks, Caller ID, Speaker Phone, Voice Mail function well Cons: Poor reception, blank screen, short battery life
My wife bought me this phone as a birthday gift. We own many Panasonic products (TV, DVD player, etc.) We have generally been very happy with their products, however, we encountered many problems with our new (very expensive) phone.
Problems with this phone:
1)If the handset is set down too hard the screen goes blank and you need to take the battery out to reset it.
2) The reception is VERY poor. Our OLD phone has much better reception.
3) The battery life is very short. Replacing the battery has helped with this problem a little.
The Caller ID, Speaker Phone and voice mail functions on the phone work fine.
Pros: Comfortable Handset. Easy to use. Slick looking. Cons: Battery Life! Noisy Handset Reception at Times.
Had this phone for about six months before the battery developed a terrible memory (wouldn't hold a charge for more than a day). I replaced it with an ARISTA brand Nickel Metal Hydride (12 dollars) and now the battery life is absolutely amazing! Still not the best for voice quality but at least I can use it now.
Pros: Good toy for the kids to use while its unplugged. Dog toy??? Cons: it is an expensive piece of junk.
Piece of crap! That sums it up pretty well. My old 900 mhz blows this phone away. People say I sound like I am calling from a cave. Now it won't recharge the battery properly even though I just bought a new one and its only been a little over a year!
