Pioneer Is Unbeatable

Pros: Clear recording, fast rewinding, Accessible options on back, Tape modification.
Cons: Tape deck motors have to be repaired every other month.
Pioneer equipment in is in my opinion very tough equipment. I should know I'm a DJ and I use a lot of pioneer equipment. This tape deck is very reliable except for the motors they either over heat or burn up with extensive use and being a DJ it is used...

Average Cassette Deck

Pros: Inexpensive, auto-reverse, Dolby-C, attractive, clean design
Cons: flutter, hi-speed dubbing
Yes, cassettes are on the way out... quick. Even so, there are times when a cassette is more than enough and I had a rather sizeable amount of cassettes that were beginning to wear out. With that in mind I reluctantly sold my old 3-head, 3-motor, closed...
