Pros: By my experience I didn't enjoy any positive feelings about this bank Cons: I will never have business again with Citibank. I already shared my experience with friends.
If you think you want to open new checking account in Citibank I would recommend you to read this small article first, if it might concern you. Actually this is situation that happened to me and I just trying to reveal it to public. Hopefully it will ...

Pros: If I have hours, I can pay a bill online Cons: Can't see transactions, slow, can't escape, etc.
Isn't online banking supposed to make my life easier? With all its resources and sheer market share, it amazes me that Citibank is so inept at providing an online banking product that works, quickly and intuitively.
I shouldn't be surprised,...

Pros: treat customers with respect Cons: no branches in my area
Scenario 1
I've been a Citibank customer since 1986 when they gave me my first Visa credit card. I still hang onto that card, not necessarily because its a great Visa card, rather, I feel some weird sense of loyalty to the bank and...

Pros: Excellent online services Cons: Still need a teller if you want to transfer money to a 7-day CD savings account
I originally opened a Citibank account because Citibank was the closest bank to my house. As it turns out, it has excellent online services as well. And, there's a fairly easy way to avoid all fees.
AVOIDING FEES
- As long as you...

Pros: Easy to use, comprehensive, well-integrated online banking and bill pay offered at no cost
Cons: No cancelled checks or check imaging in standard accounts, monthly / miscellaneous fees
I have been using Citibank for the past few years and have been satisfied for the most part with their checking, money market, and credit card services (the latter is integrated with our other accounts).
The bank has the best ATM's I have...

Pros: flexible and easy Cons: website can be slow
I admit to knowing nothing about anything to finance. However, I am learning as I go along.
My parents moved all of their assets to Citibank in 1994. They had had problems with the bank they had been at and decided to try...

Pros: Linked accounts=no service charges, free bill pay, decent cust. service reps Cons: Hassles with opening accounts over phone
I've been a customer with Citibank for about 3 years now, first getting a Platinum Select Mastercard, then opening a bank account over a year ago on their(now defunct)Citi/FI website that's currently Citibank Online.
I've always been...

Pros: Great bill payment system Cons: Debit cards do not have Visa or Mastercard logo
Citibank has always been a wonderful bank for me. I started using Citibank when I was sixteen. I had an account with my mother. Using the ATM and depositing money was always very simple and hassle free.
Now that I am older, I use Citibank...

Pros: good atm coverage, no fees, free checks, banking online Cons: haven't gotten any yet. still waiting for the ball to drop
I got a really great deal with Citibank through my job. I would check to see if your job has a similar program. Basically this is what I get from the Citibank at Work Program:

Pros: Solid bank that has embraced technology to offer one-stop financial management. Cons: Branches are not everywhere and you'll have ATM fees if you aren't local.
I have moved such that I am over 400 miles from the nearest Citibank branch, but I still use Citibank as my primary banking institution. Why? The free on-line banking. My local account, which I opened for local acceptance of checks, ATM use and small...

Pros: Monthly statements processed on time, without fail. Cons: No commitment to service
Let me tell you a story about a woman and two children. Well, one day, the three were on their way to a job (the children partake the opportunity to earn spending money as extras on movie/television productions). On her way to the job, she stopped to...

Pros: online banking Cons: ATM proximity, checking fees, attitude
I use Citibank because it was one of the first, if not the first, banks to tap into the demand for online banking--starting with a dial-up number for bill paying and such. Citibank has tons of great features like online bill paying, transferring funds...

Pros: I was supposed to receive $100 cash through Gomez for opening an account Cons: Extremely Inefficient, annoying and failed opening procedure
First or all, let me explain that I have had no trouble opening bank accounts with Bank of America, CalFed, Washington Mutual, Everbank.com and various credit cards (even with Citibank).
May 29, 2001:
I made an online application to...

Pros: Friendly, Honest, Reliable Cons: None
After suffering through an abusive financial relationship with Bank One for over a year I decided to do some research and find a bank that wouldn't treat me bad but still offer the pluses of a large bank.
I went with Citibank because several...
