When 12 cups just aren't good enough

by cyndilouwhoo Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jan 06 '01
Pros: The caffeine
Cons: The caffeine
Anyone who regularly reads my reviews knows how slavishly I worship at the altar in The Church of Our Lady of the Caffeinated Brew.

So it has always surprised me that my family never seemed to get the fact that gifts revolving...

Bodum Brazil Coffee Maker: Life's simpler pleasures

by javajoop , Oct 12 '04
Pros: Elegant design, inexpensive, no electricity required
Cons: If the carafe breaks, the replacement cost approaches a brand new unit.
I am a reformed instant coffee drinker. My daily morning habit was to open the cupboard, twist open a jar of Folger's crystal, spoon out a tablespoon into the mug and pour some hot water. Very nice, neat and tidy. On occasion, I would make my way to ...

Overall best way to make coffee

by Scott_A_R , Dec 29 '00
Pros: Great coffee
Cons: A bit more cleanup than autodrip
Let's start this out by saying I'm a coffee nut. Not only do I try dozens of varieties from all over the world, but I buy them green and roast them fresh a couple of times each week; I only grind the coffee shortly before I brew it.

When you...

Inexpensive Brazil is a Knock-out

Pros: Good Cup of Coffee, Easy to Clean, Inexpensive
Cons: Occasional coffee grinds in the cup
I wound up purchasing this little pot for that extra cup at work when the "other" coffee was gone. What I got was a delicious cup of coffee anytime I want.

Here's what I like about it:

This pot is extremely simple to use and clean....

Don't you just love Bodum?

by esmirk , May 15 '01
Pros: Cheap and elegant way to have delicious coffee
Cons: Bloody things break too easily after constant use
When we left Germany, we didn't think twice about our non-electrical appliances. We packed our old Bodum coffee maker with all the other kitchen stuff, and looked forward to using it in our new home. We had fine coffee for about a year until one day...

What, you don't own a French press? Go out and buy a Bodum - now!

by ms_kitty , Jul 12 '01
Pros: Brews the best tasting coffee, no frills, easy to use.
Cons: None.
You haven't really tasted coffee until you've had coffee made in a French press. I promise you, once you start, you will never go back to your bulky, electrical, paper filter-eating drip coffeemaker. And the Brazil coffee maker is a great product to...
