Pros: Quite, mobile, excellent heat, little effect on the heating bill Cons: Could be better lit, needs a longer cord
I live in the Philadelphia area and we just turned the clocks back and recently went through the first freeze of the year. What does all this mean? Well, for one, it is about to get cold for about four months. For two, my heating bill is about to grow ...
Pros: Quiet, safe around kids, cool to touch, heats well, economical. Cons: Quiet, not lit well, keep it out of you walkway in the dark, short cord.
I love this little heater. It is so quiet you don't even know that it is on. This is a good thing as long as you are not going to be gone a few days because you can easily forget and leave it on. Not a real big deal, it has an automatic shutoff so ...
Pros: Silent, exceptionally comfortable, even heat, built-in timer, safest heater on the market Cons: Timer does not have override button or switch
With any electrical appliance, there is always some risk, and heaters in particular have a bad reputation for starting fires. With its electric radiators, Delonghi has taken a product that can be very dangerous and made it just about foolproof. And in ...
Pros: Great for radiator style heating in smaller rooms. Cons: Heat is not instant. Hot to the touch. But it's a radiator. Duh!
Our house used to be electrically heated. $300 a month was a small electrical bill for us in the winter. We moved over to gas heating but the design of the house meant we had to put the furnace in the attic. This in turn means our basement has no heating ...
Pros: Easy to control heat. Convenient timer. Cons: Little pricey.
The unit has 3 setting for heat (600, 900, and 1500 watts). All electric heaters will put out the same maximum amount of heat (no way to get more than 1500 watts with 120 volts). This one is nice in that it's adjustable and can be used in smaller or...
Pros: Safe, odor and sound free. Cons: Cord on wrong side, too short, safe handle only on one side.
We bought this unit out of concerns for safety, and are very satisfied. Our baby isn't old enough to crawl yet, and when she is, this will definitely become a "danger zone" for her, but that won't stop us from buying another one, which we are about to do ...
Pros: Consistent, warm heat; portable; easily adjustable; useful timer Cons: Hot surface; slow to warm up from room temperature; drying heat; somewhat heavy
We have been using this oil filled electric radiator for about five years to supplement the inadequate heating system in our family room. This radiator is far superior to the existing wall-mounted fan-forced electric heater. The DeLonghi provides even ...
Pros: Compact, lightweight, radiates good heat throughout the room (9X12ft), safe and quiet Cons: None so far
I live in Chicago, the midwest, in an apartment right off the lake and we get that cold chilly wind - it is called the lake effect. I have never understood why the lake is colder than the rest of the city but it is. The more inland you go the higher ...
Pros: Quick, efficient, effective heater perfect for enclosed small rooms. Cons: None.
We purchased this heater to save us from having to heat our entire house during the evening hours; we have a baby that sleeps in the room with us, and we wanted to keep our room at a decent temperature for the baby, but we didn't want to have to keep our ...
Pros: Silent, soft heat Cons: Awkward to move when hot
The best thing about Oil-Filled Radiator heaters is that they are SILENT and do not light up a dark room. I have had three DeLonghi heaters. One (not this model) finally died after years of use. I have two of this model. One in my otherwise unheated...
Pros: Has wheel to move from room to room, automatic timer. Cons: No safety (tip over) shut off,hot to touch. Not for children or pets.
I wanted a heater to heat a 14X12 room and this did not quite do it.I am going to return it.It just heats the space where it sat.I prefer a forced fan heater.I have a small forced fan heater and it does the job better than this product. This heater is supposed to stay fairly cool, but it does get pretty hot to touch.Paid $59.00 plus tax.No safety shut off on tip over. Not for use around children or pets.
Prefer the Bionaire in this type. by neo111 ,Jan 05 '05
Pros: none Cons: for this style, Bionaire is much nicer
I found that compared to the Bionaire this heater was heavier, was hot to the touch, took longer to heat up,
and is not as attractive.
I have one room that I spend most of my time in so I have been working on ways to keep this one room warmer. This has been a long project. I now use 3 very quiet fan heaters because they heat the fastest. I use 1 Bionaire radiator type because it is slower and more even. All are set at 1/2 power (I had 2 extra power lines installed). I then use a wall Honeywell thermostat with my X-10 system to control the heaters (and humidifiers). Works great.
