Pros: Double batch of bread with ease. Relatively quiet. Very stable at higher speeds. Cons: I haven't found any so far.
My husband gave me this for a Christmas present. I use it weekly for all sorts of things. I can mix a double batch of bread dough without any difficulty at all. It's easy enough to put together to use for smaller jobs, too. The housing is of heavy duty...

Pros: Strong motor, 6 speeds, great design Cons: additional attachments are expensive
After reading the reviews on epinions.com about this mixer I went ahead and bought one. My wife blesses it every day, and has started baking more often.
It comes with a sleek design and has easy accessibility. The bowl is 6 Qt, more than...

Pros: Great power, dependable Cons: Overkill for most, takes up a large amount of counterspace
This is the grand daddy of them all. If you are into baking, and I mean baking, then this is for you. With 475 watts of power, it makes double batches with great ease. It has the bowl lift feature than enables the cook to place the mixer next to the...

Pros: Easy to use Cons: Heavy
This is a wonderful time saver. Mixes everything fast and easy so you don't have to use a weak hand mixer. It's a little bit nosy, but that is minor in comparison to the time saved. I leave mine on the counter so I have easy access to it. It would be...

Pros: Wonderful capacity, strong motor Cons: Takes up some space on the counter but is well worth it!
Stylish and dependable, that's what the Epicurean is. It can mix the toughest of doughes and it still keeps on working better than anything. It has three different blades it comes with and with these three you can do any of the mixing you will need....

Pros: There's only one KitchenAid! Cons: None
I bought this mixer for myself for Christmas 1999. I love it! I don't know how I ever lived without it!
I do a lot of gourmet cooking, but used to "get by" with inferior equipment. I've seen these mixers on TV and at friends'...

A durable, dependable mixer
by gebaker ,Feb 03 '05
Pros: Solid, durable, easy to clean, 10 speeds Cons: Heavy, large
We received this mixer for our wedding and I wasn't sure that I needed one quite so big. But, now I can't imagine cooking, baking, etc. without it. It is an extremely dependable mixer and the size is perfect for double batch cakes and cookie recipes. I have made everything in here including mashed potatoes!
We have also purchased a couple of accessories and have been please with them as well. The meat grinder is especially useful.
I highly recommend this mixer for someone who will get use out of it. It is a large appliance and really isn't for the casual kitchen dweller.
