Dirt Devil Hand Vac™ - I Know Where You Get One Dirt Cheap

by michiman1 michiman1 is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Home and Garden, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Jun 16 '02
Pros: Will probably last a lifetime
Cons: Unfortunately the lifetime will be spent on a shelf in your garage
I've owned the Dirt Devil Corded Hand Vac™ for a number of years and was surprised to see it still being sold today. I was even more surprised, you might say shocked, to see it's 4+ star rating here at Epinions. I originally bought it for quick...

Quick Clean Up For Messy Kids and Pets

by msmorvay Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Mar 27 '03
Pros: Light weight, Easy to use, durable
Cons: Cord a little to short for some jobs,
I love my little hand vac. It is great for all those little mishaps that happen. Instead of dragging out the whole vacuum cleaner I can just get out my little Dirt Devil and, “Wala” mess taken care of. I must mention that I have never used mine...

My little helper.

by Susie-34668 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Feb 11 '02
Pros: Small, lightweight, and easy to use.
Cons: None.
My regular vacuum is a Dirt Devil, so for the little pick up jobs in-between, I chose the Dirt Devil corded hand vac.

In the last house we had a re-chargeable hand vac, that used to be plugged in all the time. It lasted a few...

Little Dirt Devil is as good as its mama is bad

by Profilewriter Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jun 18 '00
Pros: Powerful, well-designed, good capacity
Cons: None at all
We got this little vacuum as an extra when we bought the upright Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner, the machine that operates without a bag by swirling dirt into a plastic cylinder.

The little hand held was an afterthought, and I'm surprised that I...

Dirt Devil Hand Vac is a great investment

by craftgun40 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Sep 15 '00
Pros: inexpensive and works great
Cons: on your knees to use it, and the outer bag seems to slip off easily
I have owned a Dirt Devil hand vac for at least six years now. I purchased it at K-mart on impulse, the price was right and since I am a impulse gadget buyer, I brought it home with me.

It has turned out to be one of the better impulse buys I...

My Little Devil!!

by jgarlough , Dec 12 '00
Pros: light weight
Cons: none
Quite a few years ago I was interested in this little Dirt Devil. I thought that the price was a little high since I was only thinking about using it on my stairs. Then one Sunday the Dirt Devil Corded Hand Vacuum was on sale at a couple of discount...

Finally a good, inexpensive hand vacuum!

by tadtexas , Dec 29 '02
Pros: Easy to use, well-designed, inexpensive, and powerful
Cons: Blast of air from the left side could blow dirt around if you're not careful.
I was pretty skeptical about the Dirt Devil Scorpion Hand Vacuum Cleaner when I looked at it in the store. After all, my experience with hand vacuums has not been all that positive. The first one I bought was good for basic stuff, but required removing...

I love my little Devil

by Naomi7835, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jan 25 '00
Pros: Super power
Cons: None
This Dirt Devil is a demon, when it comes to picking up dirt. It's perfect for vacuuming stairs and upholstery. If you have any pets, which I don't, it would be perfect for cleaning up all those pet hairs that they shed so much. I use it quite ...

Superior to all other handheld vacuums

by sneddren , Mar 07 '02
Pros: Powerful, good accessories, cheap
Cons: Cord could be longer
Over the years I've had "dustbuster" type handheld vacuums and was never impressed. In fact, I thought the products were nearly useless...the power was not enough for anything but the smallest jobs and the batteries were so weak that 10 minutes of use...

Not All That Impressed...

by goodwin1 , Feb 08 '00
Pros: Good for stairs and quick messes
Cons: Heavy and loud, cumbersome cord
We asked for a handheld vacuum for Christmas a few years ago and this is the one we received. I'd actually hoped for a cordless rechargeable model but we ended up with the dirt devil corded hand-vac.

It's a pretty good vacuum as far as power...

by nightdriver , Mar 17 '02
Pros: Incredibly powerful, lightweight, durable and cheap
Cons: NONE
Several months ago I picked up a Dirt Devil Scorpion at my local Menards for $25.00. It looked like the perfect item for using on my stairs.

This hand held vacuum cleaner is aprox. 1' in length and weighs just a few pounds. The power cord is...

Definitely Worthwhile as a convenience vacuum

by karen01 , Dec 12 '01
Pros: Great little vacuum, has rotating brush and picks up dirt great. VERY long cord.
Cons: Attachments are fairly useless. Rubber band next to impossible to replace.
I purchased the Q8100RT on impulse. It was at K-mart when I was shopping late one night and I noticed that they had it mis-priced to buyer's advantage and I took the advantage... (oh well, shoot me).

It came with all these attachments and...

Lots of power!

by htruck , Jan 19 '00
Pros: suction, cord length
Cons: it is loud
I have a dirt devil corded hand vac that I use almost exclusively for my steps. I love it! It has lots of suction power, and does a great job getting the steps clean.

It has a pretty long cord, allowing me to reach from the top to the bottom...

Great for Motorhome's

by Devinne , Feb 10 '00
Pros: Great for Motorhome's and boats
Cons: Hard on the back
We purchased a new Motorhome in 1992 and I needed a vacuum that was small and easy to use. Since I owned a Dirt Devil for my home, I decided to try this vacuum. It does a fairly good job for a 3 amp vacuum put it is hard on the back using it. Since it is...
