Pros: Great Customer Service, Heavenly Shower, Great View Cons: Slow Service in Lounge, Parking, Television Cabinet
Background: While you may not recognize the name the Bonaventure Hotel, you have probably seen it at one time or another. The hotel located in Downtown Los Angeles has been shown in numerous movies and television shows. Its unique design with ...
Pros: You'll eventually check out. Cons: You shouldn't check in.
If you want a night to remember, stay at the Westin Bonaventure, although, regretfully, the memories might haunt you forever. I had to stay at the Bonaventure on business, and it was a nightmare. After flying from the East Coast, jet-lagged, and in ...
Pros: The bed was very VERY comfortable Cons: Bathroom was very run down and the toilet didn't work.
I planned out a very nice evening for my wife months in advance and wish I had taken the time to read up on some reviews of the Bonaventure. As one person stated in their review, "what a dump." The treat for my wife included seeing Wicked at the ...
Pros: View, I'll never have to go back Cons: Service, Price, Comfort, Maintenance, Housekeeping
When I stayed at the Westin Bonaventure for the 1999 Internet World Convention (April), it was both the most expensive ($161) and worst hotel room I had ever stayed in. And the replacement room they gave me was just as bad.
Pros: Views of downtown LA from every room; good beer in the brewpub Cons: Dark and depressing public areas;tired decor and furniture;parking
Hollywood loves the Westin Bonaventure, judging by the number of films that have used parts of it for location shots, but I'll bet that neither Clint nor Arnold checked in after the lights went out. The building's array of towers is spectacular, and the...
Pros: Beautiful hotel, wonderful architecture, great views, best bed ever. Cons: Not convenient for tourists going to main LA attractions. Not a great area in LA
I have just returned from my honeymoon. We went to LA and Mexico. While in LA we stayed in the Westin Bonaventure for 7 nights.
I have to say I really liked this hotel.
There is a good variety of restaurants (albeit at a cost), with LA Prime...
The Westin Bonaventure came highly rated to me by a friend who has stayed there last christmas for her company christmas party. she said the hotel was great and she had a great time there. so when I had to attend a conference being held there I was...
You can definitely do better. by ld1244 ,Feb 01 '07
Pros: View is nice Cons: Some times a "good deal" is not.
Tried Priceline, asking for a "FOUR STAR HOTEL in or near downtown LA" -- and got the room for the requested $100/night.
That's the good part. The hotel is tired, confusing, and food and parking are very expensive. The room is tiny, windows don't open, and our request for non-smoking was ignored, as the room clearly had smoke odors...
Certainly not deserving of FOUR STARS..
View is okay, mostly buildings, though you can do better, elsewhere.
Traffic noise is constant, which is a bit annoying to people used to quiet nights.
Pros: Views. Location (central) Cons: Bad air, corny piped music everywhere. Small rooms. Bad food.
If you'd like to stay at a space station while in LA... I never liked hermetically closed buildings, and this is one of them. I hate to be at the mercy of internally adjusted air ventillation system. I find it suffocating not being able to breath fresh air from the outside (and this may be a oxymoron since we're talking about LA!). The cost of everything is exorbitant. you will pay $1 for toll-free numbers and $1 for local calls for the first 30 minutes. The food court inside is like airport food, crappy, unhealthy and overpriced. There are very few dining choices outside unless you are a millionaire. The room is kind of sweet, but small. The only positives I can say is that the shower is heavenly and so is the bed. Parking is $25 for a 24 hr period. Put your car in one of the parking lots around. The library is the cheapest for $7 maximum overnight and it's only a block away on Flower.
Laura Mercier Metallic Creme Eye Colour by vanessarose ,Aug 02 '07
Pros: The way it shimmers, stays on and doesn't look crepey. Cons: Price. $22/tube. But it lasts a long time. You only need a tiny dab.
Amaaaaazing stuff. Best eye shadow I've ever used and I'm a junkie. It's great for over 40 gals who get that crepey look. You only need a tiny bit and it brightens your eyes, stays on all day and looks great. I love the Platinum color which is like a beigy/champagne color.
