Pros: minor league info, good rumor reports, Paul White Cons: photos seem more stock than current
This is my favorite read. Because I live a long way from my favorite team (Rangers) and in a town without MLB (New Orleans), this magazine is a lifeline of relevant information and opinions.
The team by team section is usually filled with...

Pros: Tons of Statistics Cons: Not enough player bios
I buy this magazine because it has all kinds of statistics and info about major league teams and their minor league organizations. As far as other magazines that would compete with this one, Baseball America comes to mind. If you're looking for a...

Pros: Informative, timely Cons: Little minor league coverage
Baseball Weekly astounds me at their timeliness. Recently a transaction occurred regarding a certain major league player on a Monday. That transaction was covered in detail in the issue I received on Wednesday.
This is a good magazine for...

Pros: Best coverage of minor league baseball around Cons: Only a baseball mag, no other sports covered at all
OK, so let's say that you are a baseball fan...OK, a nut. And you want to know how that hot minor league second baseman is hitting at AA. Well, you can try the web, but it may not be there. Magazines will be of no help, they only know the major...

Pros: Full of articles and Interviews and Stats and BASEBALL! Cons: As a baseball fan primarily, it's not a con to me; but there is NO OTHER SPORT COVERAGE IN THIS ONE!
If you're a die-hard baseball fan who doesn't have the time to watch game after game, or Sports Center every night on ESPN, then THIS is the MUST HAVE subscription!
Filled with articles on the teams and the players... EVERY team gets it's...

Pros: well written, very in-depth, minor league coverage Cons: not magazine form (it's like a big sports page)
I am going to say that I got this magazine free for 13 weeks off of a fantasy sports site and I didn't expect anything great. I got the first issue and realized that this is a pretty cool magazine. It has in-depth coverage of every team, fantasy...

Pros: Current, up-to-date, intersting news, stats, and stories, some fantasy baseball guides Cons: not much, except that I wish it came out more often that once a week.
This weekly baseball news magazine (actually it is better described as a Baseball newspaper, as it is printed on the same type of paper as newspaper) is the ultimate publication for what's going on in Baseball today. It covers everything, from the majors...

Pros: Great for die hards Cons: Maybe too much to take in all at once?
This is one of those newspapers/magazines that is a must have for die hard baseball fans. Now even if you aren't die hard, and wish to learn more, know more, get the inside word about baseball, then this will be a bible for you also.
You get...

Pros: In-depth features, stats from the past week, notebooks Cons: Stats are old, most of info can be found on Internet
Having followed baseball since a young age, and having developed an insatiable appetite for anything in print dealing with the national pastime, I've read many baseball magazines in my time. One of the best is Baseball Weekly, published once a week...

Pros: Good writing, News on every team, Info overload Cons: Too short
I've been subscribing to this magazine for 5 years (I have a 5 foot high stack of them in my closet). I will likely subscribe to this magazine for the rest of my life. I look forward to every Wednesday, when it comes in the mail.
It has a...

Pros: Cost - only a $1.25 on stands, up to date news features Cons: Once a week is not enough! Writer Deron Snyder I can take or leave
I believe I have bought every copy of Baseball Weekly (BBW) since it's inception. Never have subscribed it it - though I have often thought of it. I purchase it every week and my best defense against a subscription is that I like to start Every Wednesday...

Pros: Weekly! Cons: Newsprint rubs off
I am a subscriber to USA Today's Baseball Weekly and have been for approximately 7 years. As a female, sometimes it is difficult to find a magazine that speaks about sports in a fashion that anyone can understand. USA Today's Baseball Weekly is the...

Pros: Weekly, Concise, Informative, Funny Cons: Only weekly, messy newsprint, mail delays
For the past four years I have subscribed to Baseball Weekly, now a year-round weekly publication by the folks who bring us USA Today. This periodical provides detailed Major and Minor League information, with stats updated in each issue.
