Pros: Fool int he Rain, All My Love, In the Evening... Cons: Hot Dog...
Everybody knows about Led Zeppelin’s first four numbered albums. They are classics—complete, energetic, exciting, and diverse. Led Zeppelin proved from the start that they were what rock and roll should be about in the late 1960s and 1970s. I am a die ...

Pros: The great players, new musical direction Cons: A couple of the tracks are a bit long
In Through The Out Door, was recorded in November and December of 1978, and released on August 16, 1979. Because of the untimely death of drummer John Bonham, this was the last music that this band would record together--Coda, although...

Pros: Great utilization of synth work, but it still sounds like what you'd expect Cons: That "Hot Dog" song is just goofy; John Bonham died after this one
Truly, Led Zeppelin fans have to feel more than a little sad about this disc. Love it or hate it, the fact remains that it was the last honest-to-God studio album from the band as drummer John Bonham died shortly after this was released.
While...

Pros: Many different kinds of songs, two great singles Cons: Some iffy guitar work, some songs go on too long
Background An ominous sound emits from your speakers. It is unlike this band’s previous output (unless you know “In the Light“). After about a minute, it turns into your basic rock song. This is the beginning of In the Evening from ...

Pros: Different facets of their talent starting to emerge. Piano numbers, country, Latin influences. Cons: Carouselambra disorients me. What the hell can it mean? What's its strange and cryptic purpose?
As I near the end of my attempt to get the Led off my to be reviewed list, I find myself a little tired and struggling to summon inspiration, not unlike the Zeps themselves during the recording sessions for In Through The Out Door. What ...

Pros: Most songs are great Cons: The track "Hot Dog" pulls this album down
In Through the Out Door, released 1979, Led Zeppelin's last real studio album before the tragic death of drummer John Bonham, is often neglected compared to early Zeppelin. Even so, it doesn't fail in any regards. Since Houses of the Holy, Led ...

Pros: In The Evening; Carouselambra; All My Love; I'm Gonna Crawl Cons: LED ZEPPELIN's last, uneven statement
These days I heard that "LED ZEPPELIN" performed in London in honor of Atlantic Records' deceased manager Ahmet Ertegun. Honoring the memory of another key name in their history, I know LED ZEPPELIN couldnt be present in London 2007 as ...

Pros: Great synthesizers! Includes prog rock tune, sad songs, and joyous rockers. Cons: None. An overall tight, sound album in every regard.
In through the out door...the final studio recorded album before the breakup of Led Zeppelin, a breakup which was caused by the death of Drummer John Bonham. The journey to get here, in the year 1979, to record this album was tough: A few years had ...

Pros: Page, Plant, Jones, Bohnam Cons: The end of an era
Looking on this album now, as the last true complete Zepplin album, I get a different perspective on it. When it was first released and I picked it up in it's plain brown wrapper, I was expecting the greatest piece of Zepplin music up to that time....

Pros: Eclectic, country-influenced, fun songs Cons: Carouselambra--too long!
Have you ever noticed that everything Led Zeppelin touches turns to gold? Led Zeppelin is such a great band because whatever genre they dabble in, the result is always good music. They not only play hard rock, but they also play folk, reggae,...

Pros: Excellent production, diversity of songs, JPJ's significant contributions Cons: Contains some filler, Page's apparent secondary role
Zep had much to prove with this album. Safety-pin punks and blow-dried disco-ites controlled the underground and mainstream, respectively. There was little room on the airwaves for the "thunder of the gods" hard rock Page, Plant, Jones and Bonham...

Pros: excellent songs, enjoyable music Cons: price
Best of the Last? Why should I say that? Well, this album was put out at the end of Led Zeppelin's active performing career. I have recently become interested in Led Zeppelin's music - a local rock station plays a tribute every weeknight at 9pm. A...

Pros: highly talented group, poetry in music Cons: none
My age shall show here, but who cares...I grew up on this music. I must admit I own all the albums (remember albums?), tapes, and CDS.
I think this is one of my favorite albums though.
My favorite song, All of My Love, is on this album,...

Pros: Experimentation and genre hopping Cons: Carouselambra is a bit overindulgent
What a delightful little album. This album was recorded during the dark years of disco, and as a result we can see its effect on the boys of Led Zeppelin. It's not as if they recorded a disco album, god forbid, but as usual, they engulfed a few more...
