Pros: The songwriting and musicianship Cons: None personally, but it's too repetitive for some
With only an album and an EP under their belt, Tech-Thrash band Meshuggah released what is perhaps their most well put together album to date. A Fear Factory-esque trip through crazy time signatures and odd guitar solos. Okay, so Im not all that ...

Pros: Dynamic songwriting, ambient guitar solos, math-metal songwriting, heavier than a really heavy thing Cons: Songs get repetitive, seems too dense at first, Jens has no melody
...is also one of the most enjoyable. For those of you familiar with Meshuggah (which, if assumptio ...

Pros: Melody, when it occurs, is fantastic. Good 'n' heavy. Cons: My god is it repetitive, Jens only has one voice, guitars lack originality.
Anyone who listens to Fear Factory, and to a lesser extent Machine Head, has probably heard of Meshuggah. But the chances of actually hearing their work is pretty low, as it’s kind of difficult to buy Swedish CD’s for a reasonable price. Really, they are ...

Pros: Nothing compares to DEI. It is timeless Cons: Nothing.
Meshuggah have really taken off now. Despite apparently not having enough money to pay the rent and getting kicked out of their place recently, the band has made a massive impact on the metal and music world. Starting off in the 1980's, Meshuggah ...

Pros: Classic album all around. Cons: None.
Meshuggah is not an artist whose style changes with every album like Sigh, nor do they exist in a completely static artistic realm like Bolt Thrower. In each sequential album there is a change; albeit one a great deal more subtle than in most artists. ...

Pros: Beautifully executed, no track feels like a filler. Cons: Jens lacks intonation vocally.
Musicwise, Meshuggah is a band you either worship and praise endlessly or absolutely detest. Personally, they are my favourite band at the moment, and Destroy Erase Improve is just one of the reasons why. If the album title rings a bell, it’s probably ...

Pros: sound production, originality, tight, fluid and technically interesting Cons: monotonous, lack of melody
The first time I heard Meshuggah I must say I was very intrigued. It contained the aggression and heavy droning of hard metal but there was also something else. To the untrained ear Meshuggah may sound like any other angry metal band, but they are not....

Pros: Excellent tight sound and production, Angry hate metal Cons: Songs sound similar, Singer doesn't alter his vocal pitch much
Inside the CD booklet, Meshuggah lists Earth, Wind and Fire, Chick Corea, Tori Amos and Sting as some of their "sources of inspiration." If Sting threw this disc in his CD player, he would be hiding under his bed within seconds.
If Sweden's...

Pros: Quite possibly the heaviest band on Earth. Cons: -
Meshuggah is group of daring Swedes who make death metal unlike anyone else. The polyrythmic blend of modern acid jazz and brutal, unrelenting, surges of powerful guitars and oddly synced drum blasts, makes for a listening experience that may throw many...
