Pros: Great production, catchy songs, very emotional Cons: May be too depressing for happy folk
This is my favorite Radiohead album, hands down. I was initially drawn to check it out after reading an interview with Marilyn Manson where he pronounced it to be one of his favorite albums of the year. Soon after I made a midnight run to a local...

Pros: some real good stuff Cons: some not so real good stuff
This album is really strong at some points, like the song optimistic but is very lacking in other places. overall I'd say it's the second best Radiohead Cd that is it comes in right after the Bends but doesn't really compare to the musical genuis of that...

Pros: Experimental boldness Cons: Not uplifting (but is this really a con?)
I bought OK Computer on a whim when it went on sale in Oxford, England, where Radiohead is from. I had no idea what I was holding in my hands after I made the purchase. I went straight back to my flat that night, threw it in the stereo, and sat back...

Pros: Great Sound, Revolutionary Cons: Some of the songs are just too weird to listen to
Radiohead has revolutionized the world of modern rock. Their sound is new, inspired in part by the revolution of REM. While their skill as musicians is not spectacular, they do have a knowledge of music. Thom York's singing is a lot like the style that...

Pros: good sounds, not like anyone else Cons: a couple boring songs
Of course everyone who owns this album loves it, but I am writing this review out of respect for the band.
Every cliché has been written about this "opus." Aside from being revolutionary, it just flat- out sounds great. It can be...

Pros: um... does "Best Album i've ever heard" count as a pro...? Cons: If you find any, tell me...
When listening to a Radiohead album, you sometimes have to pinch yourself to make sure that you aren't dreaming. And when you do, you have to remember to breathe afterwards so that the absolute perfection of the songs doesn't leave you breathless long...

Pros: Beautiful music, with great beats Cons: lengthy songs
I bought this album right when it came out because of all the hype. And to my surprise this album lived up to its claims. All of the songs on this album fit a certain mood. Whether your in the mood for something slow or something more up beat, this album...

Pros: Excellent quality songs with strange emotional meanings Cons: A bit depressing the first few listens
I'm sure you've heard it all before, but it has to be said that this album is one of the best albums ever, both musically and lyrically. But, if I had to choose between this album and The Bends, I'd probably buy the Bends. But doesn't stop OK Computer...

Pros: Just about all the tracks are good. Cons: Depressing music, lyrics don't make sense.
This CD is full of good songs. You don't need to program your CD player to play certain, few, good tracks. If you are a Radiohead fan and like similar bands like Moby or King Missile you will get your money's worth (unless you buy it at Sam...

Pros: The sound is incredible, great production. Cons: Lyrically lacking.
Radiohead has produced incredible music yet again, showing the depth and range of their ability. The music is just incredible, it's obvious that a lot of time was spent in the recording and production of OK Computer. Fans of Radiohead's earlier work...

ambition makes u pretty ugly
by jordan_tar ,Sep 09 '03
Pros: a coaster Cons: bad music
this album is terrible. its just a whiny voice and loud guitars and lyrics u cant even understand. Radiohead is not good. tom york is gay
I was shocked to read about the strange concept of Express Reviews, which would seem to contradict the purpose of the site; as such, this is in full compliance with Epinions guidelines for such reviews. Others are writing similar things: read about it at punkrawka's profile

Listen, children, and be moved.
by ReddTabb22 ,Dec 09 '03
Pros: Beautiful, haunting songs. Each is a classic. Cons: None at all
OK Computer is the greatest Radiohead CD, the greatest of the 90's, the greatest of the last 15 years, and possibly in the top 10 of greatest albums of all time.
Think I'm joking? Not even close. Every song is great and has it's own unique qualities. Paranoid Android is an epic, Electioneering is a rocker, Climbing up the Walls is creepy as hell, Let Down has an insane melody, Lucky will have you singing it in your head for weeks.
I could go on and on about each song and what it has to offer you, but people out there in musicland, you really need to trust me on this one. OK Computer is one hell of a disc, and not one you'll soon forget. Radiohead, in my opinion, in the last few years have gotten a little too experimental, sacrificing good songs for being weird. OK Computer captures their spirit at the exact moment of the climax of their career. It's got everything.

Nearly Perfect
by midwestrocker ,Mar 01 '04
Pros: It's a very beautiful album. Cons: Some songs are hard to comprehend, and by liking Radiohead you're part of a sub-culture.
This album is quite possibly the best sounding, most innovative album since the breakup of the Beatles. Many of the songs have deep, clearly understandable meanings ("The Tourist," "Electioneering") and a couple do not ("Paranoid Android," "Climbing up the Walls"). But overall, it is among the top ten albums of the '90's.

Was my first Radiohead experience
by wagner17 ,Jan 03 '04
Pros: Authentic music and thinking man's lyrics Cons: May take some time to get used to.
OK Computer was my first Radiohead experience about 5 and a half years ago. I played it sparingly for about the first year until one day I decided to listen to it while taking a long bike ride. While I do not get all of the meanings of every single song, I realize that Radiohead leaves a lot up to interpretation. Since that bike ride, I have become a Radiohead fanatic and own almost all that they have made.
It truly would have been best to start with the first Radiohead album and work your way up, as you can see how they have progressed and each CD has something different to offer. The only weak point in their CD collection is Amnesiac. For all of you trying to get into Radiohead, please do not choose Amnesiac.
