Cons: Some songs got a little slow and repetitive

This album takes me back to my Gothhik Brat days. The style of music is a mix Punk rock and Rasputina . I love "To the End", I am taken back to Castlevania in the beginning of the song. However, "Helena" sticks out the most to me. I think it is so sweet how he wrote it about his grandmother. I cried when I found out what inspired it. I also was close to my grandmother :-D all in all great album.

Pros: Everything. It's full of energy and great lyrics.

This CD is an amazing album and you will love it especially if you liked their first album. This CD has so many great songs so it would be impossible for me to pick a favorite. They have incredible, meaningful lyrics. It's not just a band full of gothic emo's screaming about a bunch of garbage that no one cares about. Its great for any mood or type of day.

Pros: The number one thing that jumps out at you right away are the vocals.
Cons: Marketing to a younger MTV crowd is smart and at the same time not.

A beefy-bloody show of sadness and passion brings "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" into one big-roaring thunderstorm. Hot and heavy drum work beats the blood through this melodic circuit board, right through front man Gerard Way's pleasing vocals.
Thus, spitting out what I call a breath of fresh air. "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" comes close in producing songs/music that's as dark and beautiful as brother band, The Used. My Chemical Romance is a great band in the rising with good writing strength and an ear full of sweet voice provided by Way. This album overall produces great music with a slight re-birth of punk, presented with a dark-theatrical stage front. Way does just enough screaming to not annoy me but make me feel the words. I ended up loving the whole album and it remains my number two choice for the year, right behind "In Love And Death," by The Used.

Cons: slightly too much repetition on the "death" theme

This album is probably one of my favorites of the year. My Chemical Romance puts together heartfelt, yet emo-esque lyrics matched with a punk rock beat and (for the most part) variety among songs.
