Pros: A bold slap in the face to the critics who said Danzig-I couldn't be beat. Cons: Some might not appreciate the diverse sound.
Since I opened up a can of worms with my last Danzig review – I couldn’t exactly turn tail and run from the topic. Danzig II – Lucifuge was a great follow up to the earlier Danzig I self titled release in 1988. Lucifuge carries a...

Pros: Glenn's stripped-down bluesy thang really starts to take direction. Cons: Paring it down by a song or three probably wouldn't have hurt the overall quality.
Let me tell you about the time I met Glenn Danzig. It was back in December of 1992, and the band had just finished playing. Glenn was sitting on the steps of his tour bus, and some groupie was trying to talk sweet to him. He dismissed her with a ...

Pros: Manages to maintain the mood of their first record while expanding the sound Cons: Somewhat weak guitars in the mix
Danzig's first release cemented their place as an uncompromising metal band that wisely avoided both prevailing schools of thought at the time. The first being that good looks, lots of makeup, and a party atmosphere was the most important thing a band ...

Pros: The group are tighter and offer a more diverse record Cons: None
With hair metal on the wane, thrash metal coming to a close and the emergence of grunge spreading its god awful sound across the land, heavy metal seemed in dire straits in 1990. It was during this time of woe and uncertainty that the band Danzig had ...

Pros: One of the greatest complete metal records ever. Cons: none.
The very first compact disc I ever bought, was 1990's Danzig II: Lucifuge. You see, back in the late 1980's, this jedi was as big of a Danzig fan as humanly possible. I had the long black hair, all the way down my back, the Danzig 'Skull' necklace,...

Pros: Excellent all around. Cons: Will cause all guitar students to complain.
What can I say about this album?
In my collection throughout the years, the only other album I have bought (and played to death) more copies of is Faith No More's Epic. Lucifuge was one of the first good metal albums I bought, back in...

Pros: Danzig's unique style Cons: none
One of the albums I never got bored of listening to. After seven years since I bought it I still regard it as one of the greatest albums overtime. The power and emotion of Danzig's voice is uncomparable and unique. Even though I always was into that kind...

Pros: it's danzig... there are only pros Cons: see above
We all know that the first Danzig album was great, then comes Lucifuge. A vast improvement on something that needed no improvement. The record opens up with "Long Way Back From Hell" which is an amazing song, in keeping with the tradition of...
