Pros: Complex writing, radiant cinematography, acting, music. Director Jacques Tourneur brings it all together wonderfully well.
Cons: A bit of business with a fishing pole is far-fetched, but not too far.

Cons: Mitchum's character just keeps walking deeper and deeper into a trap
