Pros: Funny, entertaining movie with somewhat interesting idea for the plot. Cons: Silly. Some vulgar humor.
Adam Sandler became known after he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live< i>. He started making movies while still part of that show and he is one of the few that managed to launch a successful movie career. Many of his movies have been rather ...

Pros: Sandler is amateurishly entertaining, and the jokes range from the disgusting to the arcane. Cons: Don't watch this movie with anyone you hope to earn respect from.
My first contact with an Adam Sandler comedy didn't start off too well. If you've seen this one, then you know what I mean. It's the penguin gag. It almost soured me on Adam Sandler forever. To those unfamiliar, I'll explain: In the first few minutes...

Pros: just about non stop laughs, good performances Cons: it's S-T-U-P-I-D, duh
As Adam Sandler has been a big money maker for close to a decade now, it's easy to forget exa ...

Pros: FUNNY! FUNNY! FUNNY! FUNNY! Cons: Unoriginal plot
Billy Madison has to be Adam Sandlers best movie. It is hillarious. Unlike the new movies he's coming out with that stink, like Anger Managment and Mr. Deeds, this one has to be one of my favourite comedies. Billy Madison is the ...

Pros: Cast, most of the performances, jokes, soundtrack, pace of the film Cons: Some characters not needed, some character development in supporting cast
"Billy Madison" (Adam Sandler) is a huge slacker still living with his father, "Brian" (Darren McGavin), the owner of the "Madison Hotel" chain. "Brian" informs his adult, but immature son that he has decided to turn over his multimillion dollar business ...

Pros: read the review Cons: read the review
Sometimes things come along that are so insanely stupid they border on sheer genius. "Billy Madison" is an example of this. It is both a cliche and original comedy, full of wacky jokes and total idiocy, but for some reason it works well. So well in fact, ...

Pros: Very funny. Cons: Very childish.
Back to school,
Back to school,
To prove to dad that I’m not a fool.
I’ve got my lunch packed up,
My boots tied tight,
I hope I don’t get in a fight…
That was a great song that Billy sang during the movie. It happened...

Pros: Consistently funny throughout, Adam Sandler in top form. Cons: Stupid plot, certainly not a movie for everybody.
Twenty-seven year old Billy Madison is the sophomoric son of a hugely successful hotel manager. After "graduating" high school (thanks in no small part to his father paying his teachers to give him good grades); he took on a life of getting drunk by ...

Pros: lots of laughs Cons: corny at times
I personally am SO happy that I am out of school. I don't even want to think about having to go through 12 years of school again today but this is what Billy Madison decides to do. What is he thinking!!!
Actually, Billy Madison...

Pros: Midly enjoyable Cons: If I have to see one more damn penguin, I'll freak.
Ah, the joy of the newsgroup. These psuedo-anonymous message boards can be home to freaks, weirdos, and just about anyone else that would like to walk in the door and put their opinion on the ground… myself included. They also can be home to the flame...

Pros: didn't cause heart disease Cons: idiotic script, NOT FUNNY
So, I have this friend at work who I used to work in the same department with. We would talk about movies and all that kind of stuff, and for some reason or another, Adam Sandler’s name would come up quite often. We agreed that "Happy...

Pros: Some funny situations, acting pretty well for a comedy. Cons: Loads of cliches, a feeling of deja vu with the plot.
You know, I have never been the type of person that Adam Sandler aims his comedy at. He is normally a little childish and silly in my mind. I watched this movie under protest, simply because my wife insisted.
I had two hours of laughs...

Pros: Funny, Novel Concept Cons: Pretty stinkin stupid
There will always be stupid movies. Whether they were intended to be stupid or not is the only difference.
If you watch Airplane or Hot Shots, these movies were intended to be stupid, and that is why they were funny (Well, I wasn't amused by...

Pros: Sandler is great! Plot is fresh! Cons: Plot is also very unrealistic!
Billy Madison is a movie which is so far off course that you can't even try to pretend it's realistic. One just has to "go with the flow" this movie produces and enjoy the many laughs that can be had with an easy-going mood.
The...
