Pros: A View in Life Cons: No sense of time
My family of 4 watched Bicentennial Man because my 2 step sons were begging to rent it. They wanted to see it more than I did. They thought it was a going to be a comedy too. I held little interest because I saw it as a "kid movie". So we gave...

Pros: Humor, romance, provocative questions Cons: Too much material for such a short time.
This movie has it all: humor, romance, sad moments, provocative moments, and above all: it makes you think about life.
It has several unpredictable turns. I didn't expect the movie would cover several decades and two generations of humans....

Pros: A somewhat interesting movie Cons: only mildly entertaining
I am assuming that most people who are reading this opinion have already seen the movie, so I will delve into the details immediately. I felt that this movie could have been done a little better. The beginning of the movie was good, but it went bad...

Pros: Robin Williams, the "Pepsi Girl" Cons: may be boring for males
This movie was a wonderful feel good movie that I've seen three times now. I originally wanted to see this movie, because I thorougly enjoy Robin Williams movies, especially his serious roles as in Dead Poets Society and Awakenings. Not only can he...

Pros: Robin Williams and the special effects Cons: it's an original film, but seems as if it's been done before
Bicentennial Man a wonderful fantasy movie for children and adults alike. I like Robin Williams and find most of his movies to be entertaining; however, few of his movies are as good as this one. Bicentennial Man uses marvelous special effects and the...

Pros: Robin Williams' humor combined with a thought provoking story line. Cons: Not as light-hearted as you might expect. Not really a con, but something to think about before catching the film. This film is very funny, but really does make you think.
After a few of his recent mediocre films (Father's Day, Patch Adams), I figured that Robin Williams would not be appearing in any movie with true substance for at least a couple more years. (If then!)
When my best friend and I decided to go see...

Pros: Great Movie! Cons: None
Let me start just by saying that I love all of Robin Williams' movies. I think that he is a phenomenal actor.
BICENTENNIAL MAN is a good mixture of comedy, sci-fi and drama. Robin Williams plays a robot, Andrew. His duties as a...

Pros: great family movie Cons: a little long for the younger set
The film "Bicentennial Man" is very faithful to Isaac Asmiov's "Positronic Man." Three generations of my family went to see this at once in the theater, and everyone came out with a positive review. Of course, we all more or less like...

Pros: Deep and thoughtful Cons: too deep for some
Wow!
Sometimes the anticipated process of an event and the actual event are very different. Sometimes better, sometimes worse.
In this case, I expected that a Robin Williams film about robots would be much more humorous and much...

Pros: Everything Cons: There is no cons
I saw this movie because I thought I would like it I love Robin Williams. He is Great! I loved how they showed SF in the future, and all of the changes. I thought it was great how they progressed over the years making the characters age. I also found it...

Pros: Strong acting, touching story Cons: May be too stickily sentimental for some.
The trailer for Chris Columbus' adaptation of Isaac Asimov's short story and novel The Positronic Man makes this Robin Williams vehicle look like a futuristic sequel to Patch Adams--in short, a ghastly piece of shameless audience...

Pros: Lots of laughs Cons: Not enough of the female robot
Excellent movie that I went to see because of the trailers I had seen of it. Robin Williams transforms perfectly from a robot to a man with comedic scenes throughout. I didn't really see any bad parts although the scenes with the female robot and...

Pros: Makeup, costumes Cons: Plot, dialog, script, acting
This insipid travesty of Asimov's work totally ignores the interplay of ideas and clever logical problems that form the foundation of the Robot series. Instead, jejune and saccharine platitudes substitute.
Normally this would simply qualify...

Pros: Not bad for older children, although they may not be interested at all. Cons: Too much sex for younger children.
I took my 9-year-old son to see Bicentennial Man last week. After seeing many a trailer on the kids' channels he was dying to see the movie. They played the commercials and he was hooked. I figured it would be a nice way to spend an afternoon with my...

Pros: Outstanding movie, great actors, I laughed... I cried... I mean it. Cons: I can't think of one.
Despite an overwhelming admiration for Robin Williams, I almost decided to pass over this movie. The idea of a robot (android) searching for his place in humanity seemed too reminiscent of "Data" from Star Trek: The Next Generation....
