Pros: Cute movie, music goes well, definitely a "different" type of vampire movie. Cons: Added a few ideas that just didn't sit well with true vampire lovers.
I just finished watching this movie with my family and we all found it highly entertaining. The Little Vampire is differently a different viewpoint on the lives of vampires.

Pros: This is a fun movie for children to watch. Cons: Not as fun if you were and adult.
Although I was not at all happy when my children first picked out this movie, it has become on of their all time favorites. I was not sure that a vampire movie was going to be a good idea in our home. The first day that we had it, I think that the kids...

Pros: Engaging and Amusing Film for the Whole Family, Beautiful Cinematography Cons: Deviates too Much From the Books at Times
The Little Vampire (loosely based on the children’s book series by Angela Sommer-Bodenburg) is a charmingly quirky, family oriented reworking of one of the oldest legends known to mankind: vampires. With impressive cinematography and a plotline that is...

Pros: Your kids may like it. Cons: Anyone over 7 likely won't.
"But it's only a kids' movie." That's the likely response to any criticisms leveled at The Little Vampire, a fantasy-adventure-comedy that is unmistakably made for the younger set--who, I have no doubt in my mind, will react positively...

Pros: No gruesome scenes Cons: Didn't keep my kid involved.
I decided to take my 8 year old to the movies for her birthday. We had no idea of what we were going to see, or what was even on.. When we got to the movie she seen the sign, and said oh Mom please.. Well, there wasn't anything else appropiate so I said...

Pros: Unique plot, beautiful scenery, funny and scary, nice moral to the story. Cons: May be too scary for children who are easily frightened.
Yesterday I took my 6-year old son to view the new release, "The Little Vampire." I wasn't sure what to expect from the movie - neither was my son - but we had a great time for all 105 or so minutes of this fun and unique film.
The...

Pros: Very cute, funny in places, watch out for vampire cows! Cons: some parts could scare young children
As I said previously, my husband came home with a sackful of videos the other day for us sick folk to pass the time. He brought this one home for my 8-year old, who laughed herself silly throughout. I have to say, The Little Vampire is a very cute...

Pros: Nice moral, great acting, beautiful scenery Cons: Vampire cows with red eyes!!!
Yep, that's what is in this movie! Because the vampires in this movie are on reprieve from sucking the blood of humans (except for one who gets bitten by an unruly teen-age vampire), they have to suck the blood of cows to sustain their energy. That is...

Pros: Good story, some funny running jokes. Cons: Lackluster filmmaking.
Late at night the critics mind often creeps into corners that are absolutely fruitless. It’s inevitable. Tangential that wouldn’t be hit upon in the daytime (no matter how eccentric he normally is) are smacked down like a $20 to buy a carton of Marb...

Pros: Very Entertaining! Cons: Sometimes predictable
It's nice to see a movie for kids that doesn't contain offensive language, bloody violence, and negative messages. The Little Vampire offers children and their parents an entertaining time!
This movie centers around a young boy who is...

Pros: Great for the kids Cons: Bring a pillow
In an attempt to woo the kiddie crowd who haven't been de-sensitized by Scream 1, 2, and 3; The Little Vampire tells the story of nine-year-old Tony Thompson who recently moved from big-city America to a remote Scottish village with his parents. Since...

Pros: Music and landscapes Cons: Weak story and acting
Sweet, lovely music in the background, period clothing, and lush landscapes do not save the empty, stupidly kooky story in this film. A departure from Bram Stoker's nosferatu who dine on human blood, the "Little Vampire" savors the friendship between ...

Pros: a good children's film Cons: not for adults.
Well, this is an intresting film with Johnathan Lipnicki in a role that makes him seem to be eternally young since he costarred in Jerry Maguire. As a lonely American boy who moves with his parents to Scotland, Lipnicki becomes friends with a young...

Pros: delightful movie; good story Cons: may be scary for younger children
I was to babysit my grandchildren one evening. When my daughter dropped them at my house, she brought a VCR movie for them to watch, "The Little Vampire". As the movie started, the two youngest (4 & 5 years old) sat close to me with their hands over...
