Pros: Rockin' soundtrack! Cute movie, family friendly, not too sticky sweet, lots of good laughs Cons: It's a Mary-Kate and Ashley movie - if I start, I may never stop ...
What more could my almost 13 year old son want? Or for that matter my going-on-40 hubby! *lol* Implausible, Insipid, Inevitable but still enjoyable and fairly innocuous I honestly wasnt expecting a lot from this ...
Pros: There's no zero star option I can offer this movie. Cons: There's NO zero star option I can offer this movie!!!
The last time Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made a movie deemed suitable for mass consumption was way back in 1995, when "Full House" flaunted their adolescent cuteness to the point of utter madness. "It Takes Two" starred the Olsen Twins in a ...
Pros: Manhattan scenery brought back some pleasant personal memories.
Cons: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen seem like has beens. I hope they soon retire from 'acting'
The Van Helsing movie reel we were watching "broke" ten minutes before the ending of that film. I wasn't too upset because the plot had been sufficiently advanced and I had heard enough about the movie so that I knew how the movie was going to end ...
Pros: Nice use of New York scenery... Cons: ...if only those Olsen twins would get off the screen
You know those sitcoms that last for years and years without ever once being funny? One of them was "Full House"--which starred Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who now star in movie comedies that are never funny. The latest example is "New York Minute," ...
Pros: SCTV stars Levy and Andrea Martin back together, fashion sequence Cons: Too much going on, the Olsen phenomenon is over.
I will admit it: I am an Olsen fan. My friend Katy and I spent this year, our freshman year of college, watching the final few straight-to-video classics that we hadn't seen. Naturally, New York Minute, which came out the day after we came home for the ...
Pros: It was filmed in New York City Cons: very inappropriate for people under 13, violence, sexual situations
I begged for this movie for my 16th birthday last year, and sadly, I got what I paid for. Boy, ain't that a shame? New York Minute, in my opinion, is a little too inappropriate for children under 13. There's a little sexuality in this film, ...
New York Minute - Cute Mindless Comedy by veggielady ,Jan 21 '06
Pros: Cute, entertaining, easy to watch. Cons: None.
This movie got a lot of bad reviews when it came out. I rarely go to see movies in the theater because I am hearing impaired and find it hard to follow the movie without captioning. Anyhow I rented this movie the other day because I needed a light comedy to watch as I was in a bad mood.
The movie is very cute and I don't think it deserved all the bad reviews it got. It is light hearted and fun. It's basically brain candy. The plot is cute and there was even a little twist at the end I didn't see coming. If you are looking for something that is somewhat silly, funny, and a feel good type of movie then this is for you.

Pros: Cuteness, I mean the OLSENS! Cons: The rest of the movie.
Let's ask a question: how many more movies can Mary Kate and Ashley do and still be painfully adorable? If you answered none then you are correct. This movie attempts to develop the twins into something they will never be, good actors. While the cuteness level is there (bring your younger niece) the movie isn't. I for one am sort of taken aback by these two cutsey little girls trying to grow up. They should ride out the twin thing for as long as it lasts because as actors they will never truly make it. So my advice is this: if you want to go see a movie with your child that will give you a couple laughs and a bit of sappy sisterly love, then go see it; if you want to die from adorableness, then go see it; even if you're some sick 40-year-old who likes the Olsen twins, then go see it; but if you want to see a movie with real acting then I suggest skipping this.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen prove they've graduated from their child-prodigy status with this sassy comedy from director Dennie Gordon WHAT A GIRL WANT...More at Family Video
