This is an AWFUL phone! I bought it from Samsclub.com in September 2003. It had an annoying click sound that was especially bothersome when both phones were used at the same time. Finally, in May 2004 it became intolerable and we sent it back under warranty. It was replaced with a brand new phone. A few months later, the clicking sound began again. I lived with it until May 2005 then decided to buy a Panasonic 5.8GHz,KX-TG5433, a three extension cordless system which has been an absolutely great phone...the best of the many I have owned in the last 15 years!

Not wanting to throw out the GE phone, I plugged it into a spare bedroom where it is not used very much and I assumed would not cause a problem. For the past several months everything was OK. Now, December 2005, I started experiencing problems with my Panasonic and traced the problem to, you guessed it, the GE phone. I unplugged it, took it out to the garage and fixed it with a couple of well-placed hits with a small sledge hammer then dumped it into the trash. That did the trick! I'm happy now.

Pros: Nice feel and good features
Cons: No light to tell you that there are messages.

The phone we bought has had a clicking and static noise since we have bought it. GE is of little help. I'm still trying to fix the problem. The thing Id really like is a button that lights up when there are messages on the machine.

Pros: Great speaker phone; large telephone memory.
Cons: Faulty caller id; short battery life.

The caller id never worked properly. Ever so often it will stop working until you unplug and plug it back in. I returned the original to the store and the problem still exists. I tried different outlets and checked my telephone service provider. No help from GE.

Pros: A good toy for children 2 and under.
Cons: Does not live up to the quality that the product boosts!

I had purchased this set-up and within three months the 2nd cordless phone would not operate. The numeric key pad completely shut down. I can not dial a number out! Worthless

Cons: clicking, annoying

I purchased this phone in December 2003 and I regret purchasing it. The phone has this loud and frequent clicking sound every time you use it. The party on the other can even hear it. It is a long click and truly does interfere with your communication.I tried to return it to Best Buy, but my warranty of 14 days was up. I am stuck with these awful phones until I buy new ones.
