I bought my Archos Jukebox three years ago. It's a very compact personal entertainment device. First problem I had was batteries. User guide does not recommend that user should change the battery. I did and it was easier than the changing batteries of my alarm clock.
Archos produces very hi-tech and quality devices, but their customer service is not as good. Even I could say they do not have a customer service. Once I called them to ask something about batteries, I stayed on the phone about 15 minutes and twice, however no-one answered. Funny thing is that automated message was saying "You average waiting time is 3 minutes."
For quality I really recommend Archos, but when you have problem with your devices, there is really no-one to help you. Customer Service:that's what really matters. So next time when I update my jukebox I don't think I will buy a Archos product, despite the quality and fun.

I purchased an Archos AV340 as a Christmas gift and found that it had two major defects right out of the box. One, it had a red spot in the screen that would not go away and two, it would not hold a charge. When I called Archos, they promised an RMA by e-mail (why it had to be done this way, I don't know) and then never provided it. I later phoned them and was disconnected, then after multiple e-mails I never received a reply. Archos is a relatively small French company with a minimal operation in southern California. If you buy an Archos, please understand that there is no warranty service available (in least in the US) and their California office will not reply to you under any circumstance.

Huge storage- love the portability- blows away i pod and others! I love the color LCD with level indicators. Mine goes where I go. Buy on line and save huge, most big box retailers don't have this unit at a reasonable price. Keep a backup of your files in case of failure! I also recommend the Belkin fm transmitter to play through radio receivers. The micro Bug that was recommended to me and that I initially purchased used the way expensive Cr2 camera batteries and could not be plugged into a DC outlet.
