I have a 2 year old HP500A laptop. I never liked the pencil eraser and much prefer a touchpad or mouse for speedy, accurate, pointer location. I carried a "mini-laptop" corded mouse for two years and could never figure out how to deal with it when ...
Pros: Wireless, scrolling bar, on off switch to save battery power. Cons: Receiver sticks out 2", buttons make loud clicking sounds. Pricey.
My husband bought me a Toshiba Satellite notebook computer last year for my birthday. I wanted a mouse that was smaller, what they call "mini" sized. So far, this is our third one, and I hope the 3rd time is the charm, as they say. Our first ...
Pros: Ultracompact, convenient, quality mouse. Easy install, on/off switch saves batteries, wireless works great. Cons: Scroll wheel feels cheap, skips occasionally. Mouse may be too small for small hands.
I like Belkin's product. This mouse is among the most compact wireless mice on the market. Retailing at around $50.00, it is a quality product. Mouse was used in conjunction with Gateway 200X thin-and-light and Windows XP Pro. It's a great ...
Pros: Great for transport and easy use without cables Cons: Little small but good.
This little mouse was a nice little product from Belkin. When I first got it I plugged it in put the battery in the mouse and it worked right off the bat. It turned out to be a little smaller then expected but works great for my wife who use it a lot.
Pros: small, accurate, and tiny USB dongle Cons: lousy battery life, and connection failures.
I bought one and it stopped working after a few days. It was replaced free.
I bought a second one and it too keeps losing the connection. I re-installed the drivers and it is so so.
It burns through batteries - sometimes they last only 2 days. It is VERY hard to open the case to replace them, and had I known cordless mice used this many batteries I would not have bought one.
It is very small and good for travelling light with a notebook, but it maybe too small for some hands, and worse if you try to use the wheel.
When it works it is great, but I have decided to buy a larger one using AA batteries with a longer life as I am fed up with changing batteries every few days.
Pros: Cool design Cons: The supplied Belkin software had to be removed to prevent cpu loop
I agree with the other positive reviews. Good solid product, that works well. I've used optical mice for a few years, and find them to be far superior to the old track ball types. However, this is my first wireless mouse.
I have four PC's in my home office, and this product helps to reduce my desk clutter.
For every day use, I prefer using my non wireless Targus mouse. It is lighter (no batteries) and cheaper to operate (no batteries). Currently I use this wireless mouse on a low use laptop.
Also, when installing the software on Win2000 SP 4 (on my IBM A31 laptop) it caused my laptop to go into a CPU loop. It cost me about 40 mins to remove the Belkin software. Fortunately, the mouse does not really need the supplied software on the CD, just the driver.
I purchased this used mouse via eBay, and got a very good deal ($15 which included shipping).
Don't use it with wireless network by wyseel ,Nov 06 '05
Pros: The size. Cons: Doesn't perform well with wireless network
I agree with the previous review...doesn't work with wireless network. I tried for about 30 minutes but kept getting disconnected. Tried to sync with receiver as per the manual but mouse continued to freeze up. Returning the mouse tomorrow. The size of the mouse is great and setup is simple. However, did not perform for me.
Doesn't work at all.. Tech support no help by intense321 ,Nov 03 '04
Pros: None Cons: Doesn't work at all and Tech Support doesn't know anything about the product.
This mouse doesn't work at all. Windows XP SP2 recognizes it as an HID-compatible mouse. SP2 won't recognize any drivers on the install disk or drivers off the Belkin website. Tech support was worthless. They weren't sure what an HID-compatible device even was. They told me the mouse was probably defective and to send it back.
Pros: Small and compact Cons: Does not work especially if your notebook is hook up to a wireless network!!
I thought this would be the answer to the touch pad, NOT!! The RF single would come in and go out, I tried this gadget for only 15 min, wrapped it up and was on my way to return it to the store!! So if you feel like getting your nerves recked for the Holiday Season this is the mouse for you!!! And Yes I tried the ID set-up numerous times and yes that did work for about 3 seconds!
