Pros: 7.1 megapixels, 4x Optical Zoom, lots of manual exposure options, excellent image quality Cons: Price, redeye, dim LCD screen, USB 1.1
The new Canon Powershot G6 is more evolutionary development than revolutionary milestone -- basically a silver G5 with a 7 megapixel CCD. The G series has been Canons flagship digicam model since the G1 was introduced in 2001. The ...
Pros: Image quality, neat little touches, ease of use Cons: Hmmm...
I am a brand loyalist - when a company's products never cease to impress me, I am a customer for life. I began my love affair with Canon ever since I bought the Canon PowerShot A70 less than two years ago. All the manual features packed in that small, ...
Pros: Larger LCD, Sharper Photos, Faster AF, but they kept the terrific lens Cons: 7MP files go through CF cards quick
I was very interested in reviewing the new PowerShot G6 when I heard of its release. As the owner of a G3 and an S50, I skipped the release of the G5 as I already had the higher resolution sensor on my S50 while the G3 offered the same creative ...
Pros: First-rate image quality, large LCD, lots of manual exposure options Cons: Price; included 32MB CF card soon becomes a bottleneck.
The $560 PowerShot G6 may certainly not win any prize for its high price tag, but there's more to it than just that... The PowerShot G6, the latest addition to Canon's G series, is quite a compact and powerful 7.1 megapixel digital camera that should ...
Pros:Enormous number of features; semi-professional camera; quality photos; best camera for the price. Cons:None
I recently purchased the Canon G6 PowerShot Digital Camera and after owning the G2, G3, & G5, all I can say is that Canon keeps improving these PowerShot cameras with each version, albeit not very much each time. To read a fuller review of the G6, I ...
I've had the camera for about 6 months now (purchased from Ebuyer, cheapest on the 'net at the time) and in that time have taken more than 2000 shots with it. My requirements for the camera were not straightforward. 1. It needed to be small and ...
Pros: Lots of features. Cons: Severe autofocus problems. Bulky. Silver paint wears off.
I won't go into the features since they are pretty well-known at this point, but this camera has enough to make any enthusiast happy. The menus are very intuitive too. My family is not afraid to use it, although they won't touch the advanced features. ...
Pros: Lots of features, quick auto focus, beautiful pictures Cons: Not a standard AA rechargable battery
My inlaws whipped this new camera out at Christmas time and I had a chance to run it though its paces. Its a nice is a compact and powerful 7.1-megapixel digital camera that should appeal to advanced photographers. Most digital photographers don't ...
Pros: Easy to use, fast, long battery, great photo clarity Cons: Memory delete doesn’t give more room for other photos.
I used to dread having to take photos of my two year old because he was always on the move and the shutter speed and delay to re-charge of my old camera (it’s two years old) took so long that I was always missing shots. I was always missing shots because ...
This camera was purchased 3 weeks ago for my wife. I chose it for several reasons: - I own a Digital Rebel which I'm very happy with - I own a Canon S900 printer, which I'm also very happy with (brand loyalty building here) - the G6 got great ...
Pros: Swivel screen, RAW format capabilities, great pictures Cons: Viewfinder not perfect, can't use cheap memory cards
If you fancy getting serious about photography, but either can't afford an SLR, or just don't want the hassle of having to carry one around, then you really can't go far wrong with Canon's Powershot G6. It's worth noting here that the picture ...
Pros: great resolution-fairly user friendly-accepts adapters/lenses, and many accessories Cons: A bit bulky-USB door flimsy
I had a Powershot A95 that I was impressed with, but wanted to add a flash to the mix. The G6 accepts the canon line of speed lights designed for E-TTL technology.(I use the third party Sunpak PZ40X) This is a 7.1MP that delivers excellent photos, and ...
Pros: Small size, durable, easy to use, amazing image quality! Basic features very easy to learn. Cons: Lots of menus...takes some patience to learn all the extended features. Pricey.
I've just upgraded from a Canon A50, after toting it around for the past 4 years and putting it through loads of abuse. I've recommended Canon digital cameras to everyone I know and I've yet to hear a complaint. This camera was EVEN SMALLER than ...
Amazed at the Quality!! by skiingtaylors ,Mar 08 '05
Pros: 7.1 Megapixels, High Quality, Easy-to-use..A++ Cons: ???
I knew I needed a new digital camera and did some research but everything pointed to the Canon G6. Most reviews I read gave it high scores...I was sold. 7.1 Megapixels packed in an easy-to-use package, what can be better? I also bought the Canon Pixma IP5000 printer and the combination is a match. People can't believe my photos are from a digital camera and printer.
Pros: Beautiful pictures, tons of options, easy to use Cons: None, this camera is awesome
I researched digital cameras for two years and ended up buying the most amazing camera I ever could have hoped for!
I am very particular when it comes to my pictures. I have only one daughter and cannot have any more children, so the pictures of her growing up are precious to me. I wanted the best for my money.
I am not a professional photographer and I know nothing about setting up a shot in regards to lighting and position, etc.. When I set this baby to "auto", it takes the most beautiful pictures. The pictures are always in focus, bright, beautiful color and I can snap away with hardly any delay time between shots!
I can't wait to learn all the other impressive features on this dynamo! I set up a christmas background and posed my little girl in front of it. The pictures I took I printed out on photo paper from my printer. My family did not believe that the photos were from me! They were convinced I took her to a professional photographer. I love this camera.
