Pros: easy to use, cooks great, clean-up is a breeze, takes up less space Cons: small cups for catching grease, as well as could overflow in griddle mode

Cuisinart GR-4 Griddler I absolutely love this griddle. It's so much more than just a griddle. Actually, I am not all that fond of pancakes but do love a good Panini sandwich and just about anything else I can stick on a grill. I create my own Panini ...

Pros: Good for many things; Cooks fast; Super-easy clean-up Cons: Must use proper spatulas; Cookbook isn't very good
We've had this grill for a month, and it doesn't have a "home" in the cabinet yet. Why? Because we've used it almost every single day! It can do several things: First, it can act as an indoor grill -- most of our cooking thusfar has fallen ...
Pros: Compact, portable, removable plates for easier clean up. Makes great paninis. Cons: Not durable, not great for cooking eggs (it runs down to the grease opening).

Pros: It grills Cons: It drips and splatters leaving messy cleanup

Pros: Extremely versatile, easy to clean, relatively compact size Cons: Use oil or cooking spray with more difficult foods like chicken

Pros: High quality. Most versatile grill on market. 3-year warranty. Great Cuisinart reputation. Cons: A timer would be one nice addition!
Just bought this unit at Best Buys for a shade under $100 and I'm very impressed with it so far. I like the 3-year warranty. That tells me they have enough confidence in their craftsmanship to back it up. The removable grill/griddle plates are a big ...
Pros: Cooks food quickly and evenly. Well built. Simple cleanup. Cons: None.

Pros: Cooking speed, grill flexibility, ease of removing grill plates, overall build quality Cons: Grease drip off back when grill is opened, grooved grill plates hard to clean

Pros: Versatility, super easy to clean up, quick to heat up, healthier meals. Cons: Small drip cups, no timer/cooktime setting

Pros: Easy to use, clean design Cons: control lights are too dim
The Cuisinart Griddler GR4 is an attractive appliance that seems more or less well built and justifies its somewhat high price. There are other competitors, like some products from George Foreman. (Although the George Foreman products I looked at were ...
Pros: Easy to clean and quick cook time. Cons: I don't see any cons to this product.
I don't love to cook and after purchasing the Cuisinart Griddler, I have to say I have a new found appreciation for making meals. It is so easy to use. I can cook so many different types of foods, from lamb chops to hamburgers to chicken to ...
Pros: Removable grill plates, easy to clean, lightweight. Cons: Pricey, but worth it in the long run.
I wanted one of these cool grillers when they first came out but at $129.00 I just wasn't sure I wanted to pay that much so I bought a panini grill for around $50.00 instead. While the panini grill was good beginning I still lusted for this Cuisinart ...
Pros: easy to use, easy to clean, dishwasher safe, truly makes great tasting food Cons: a little slow heating up, especially when I'm in a hurry
What can I say that everyone else hasn't already said? It's amazing. I use THE GRIDDLER (I type it in caps because it's just that intense) to host parties. I can cook sixteen hamburgers in about twelve minutes. I can grill eight grilled ...
Pros: Looks good, makes good grilled sandwiches. Has both flat and ribbed plates, opens flat. Cons: Grilling meats is messy, uneven heat, small cooking area.
My experience with this unit has been one of frustration due to the very short lip around the edge of the grill plates. Grilling anything with a somewhat high moisture content (like burgers) causes the resulting fat/liquid from the meat to overflow the edges of the plates. This has caused me to have to partially disassemble it in order to clean the grease that collected under and around the plates.
Paninis, veggies, etc. do not cause this problem and usually come out fine although the top plate does not seem to be as hot as the bottom plate. The grill area is also smaller than I had anticipated.
When I first saw this on tv, I knew I had to get it. I had been using the little George Foreman grill but the surface wasnt big enough. I was over a friends house and they had the Griddler, and loved it. I looked into buying one but they were like $150 in my area. SO for Christmas I got some gift cards to Macys and went straight there and bought one. It was on sale for $129.00 and ended up not paying a dime. My gift cards covered it! Got it home and have used it every day ever since. Makes great steaks, chicken, breakfast foods and grilled cheese. We love it and have used it to cook almost everyday.. It my new toy!
Pros: Ease of use, cleaning, versatility Cons: None
Being the cook of the family, I received one of these for Christmas 2005. I had seen the unit on one of the shopping channels and was impressed with its versatility. Once I received the Griddler, I was even more impressed with its construction, looks and ease of use. I have used it about 15 times and have yet to find anything negative with its use. The steaks I have grilled were cooked exactly the way we like them: medium, pink inside, but still hot. I use it mostly as a pannini press. I've never been a big fan of hot sandwiches until now. It is easy to use and just as easy to clean.
Glad I made the right choice! by kwvball ,Dec 28 '06
Pros: Yummy food fast and easy! Cons: None
I did a lot of research before choosing this griddler. I wanted something larger than my small Foreman, but yet versatile. I liked the fact that I wouldn't have to buy a separate electric griddle, and that it had removable plates. Boy, did I make the right decision. I can make 4 paninis at once, I've made pancakes, and now I can even grill hamburgers and hotdogs with good flavor in the middle of winter. I've read about the small grease cups in other reviews, it hasn't been a big problem for me and definitely not enough of a problem to outweigh all the pluses. Easy to clean and to use, comes with good recipes. Highly recommend!
Pros: cooks great Cons: only one. the top grill does not easily stay locked in place
i just bought this grill last week and have already used it three times. i find it an excellent cooking appliance. makes great grilled cheese sandwiches.
I bought and I thought it will wonderful but it's very hard to clean sometimes is imposible, if you use only for paninis it's ok without cheese, you can buy for less other products whit the same results.
Terrible customer service by lafloater ,Feb 22 '08
Pros: none Cons: terrible customer service
My griddler did not work from day one. 6 calls to customer service with lots of run arounds has gotten me no where. Asked to fax in proof of purchase before they will speak to me, but no one can ever "find the fax" so I guess I am out of luck. Don't bother with the 3 year warranty - they won't even call you back. Make sure you can take it back to the store before you buy one - Cuisinart will not help you.
Pros: quick, attractive, versatile, easy to operate Cons: cleaning the grill surface is a bit much.
bought this griddler a few weeks ago and I am very happy with it.
I read the reviews here on epinions and found that the griddler merits its good rating.
It works real fast, I can cook burgers in five minutes! bacon tastes better cooked on the griddle than in the pan, I never
knew bacon could be like this...
the flat surfaces clean more easily than the grill surface but with a good brush everything comes off quickly.
Cruisanart Griddler--Awesome by kraynak ,Jan 18 '06
Pros: Love it! I like how the trays are removable for easy clean up. Cons: Could be a little bigger.
I have had other grills and this one by far is better. Has good even heat. Can make paninis, pancakes, burgers, etc. Clean up is a breeze...you can even put the plates in the dishwasher.
Pros: Does more than I expected Cons: Absolutely none!
Without a doubt, this is the best small appliance that I have ever purchased!
It performs far beyond my expectations, and best of all, it does not take up a lot of counter space, as other grills on the market.
Clean up is so easy. I have cooked Bacon, pancakes, burgers, and even hash browns on it, and all turned out superb!
You have to shop around to find the best price--Department stores are asking 130.00 for this item, but I was able to get it a Bed Bath and Beyond for 104.00 with a 20 percent off coupon.
Perfect Table Top Grill from Living In Comfort by powerosh ,Aug 23 '07
Pros: Great for rainy day grilling Cons: I cook inside a lot more
While researching for the perfect table top grill, I came across the Cuisinart Griddler Table Top Grill GR4. This grill is truly amazing. I use it to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner.
When I was looking for my grill, I wanted one that removed the grease from my food and the Cuisinart GR4 does just that, so it keeps me eating healthy.
I found mine at http://www.livingincomfort.com/cueltatopgrg.html with free shipping. I would truly recommend this table top grill to everyone.
Simply amazing. Cooks everything fast. Go creative and invent a panini.
Clean up is simple. No muss, no fuss. It is the must have item, other than
the Iphone, for this year. We love it.
Be Careful in Cleaning the dials by siyanblue ,Aug 11 '07
Pros: Great for one person households, very easy to pop the plates into the dishwasher. Cons: numbers and letters on the dials easily wipe off if you aren't careful.
The numbers and letters are, what appears to be,"silk screened" on and will wipe off if not cleaned very carefully. This happened to my beloved griddler! Other than that, I love this product.
Not only does this product cook great food, it also is extremely durable and easy to use! Even if you don't have great cooking skills, you'll be able to amaze everyone with the great tastes that will come out of the fine machine.
Pros: Easy clean up and quick to use. Cons: Never found any so far.
I bought this grill about 1 year ago after owning a Hamilton Beach and George Foreman grill and I will never go back to owning. The Hamilton Beach grill lit on fire after the coils had grease on them. The George Foreman Grill is cumbersome and is hard to clean and the non stick grill doesn't last. Therefore I will never buy one of those again after trying this one. It is easy clean up and quick and easy to make food. I have cooked steak, Grill cheese for my children and just about anything when I don't feel like going outside to use the barbecue. The children use it to make quick sandwiches and pancakes. I bought this product because Cuisinart makes good products and removable grills would make it easy to clean. I would definitely by this again. And also if one of the plates wear out you can replace the plate and not the whole grill.
Pros: Quick to heat up, easy to clean, extremely versatile, good looks. Cooks evenly and quickly. Cons: Depending on what you're cooking can splatter the surrounding counter space.
My gas grill is gathering dust since this beauty arrived in the house. Great for Paninis, quesadillas, grilled sandwiches, grilling burgers, steaks, fish and chicken.
Love the fact that I can remove and place the hot plates in the dishwasher.
My wife was dubious about this purchase but now is a convert.
Pros: Makes great pancakes, sandwiches, grilled meat, fish, and vegetables. Cons: Hard to clean the panini plates--don't scrub too hard and damage the Teflon coating.
This is my all time favorite small kitchen appliance. We use it for everything and have never been disappointed. It can be hard to clean the panini plates, but the versatility this appliance offers totally makes up for this.
Cuisinart Griddler--I love it by rhondalr ,Jan 06 '06
Pros: Cleans easily, lightweight, different temperature settings Cons: Not sure what temperature to set for certain foods.
I received the Griddler for Christmas and I absolutely love it. It is very easy to clean and there is virtually no mess on the counter after using. The plates pop out easily and are so handy to use. The styling is attractive and it complements other stainless steel products on the counter so I leave it out because I use it as often as I can. I would recommend it to anyone.
Pros: Well made. Cons: Nonstuck coating started to come off after inly a few uses.
The griddler works as advertised, but the quality of the nonstick coating is not up to the standard I expected from Cuisinart. The nonstick coating started to show wear at the ends of the ridges of the lower grill plate.
Although I used a pad designed for nonstick surfaces it was very apparent that I could see bright aluminum, after only a few uses.
