Daewoo DV6T844B DVD Player / VCR Combo

Pros: Can play both DVD and VHS in one appliance
Cons: Little bit expensive and does not have progressive scan

Pros: Plays everything, and is cheap. Good picture quality. Nice design of controls.
Cons: Remote is small and sometimes counterintuitive. Does not remember DVDs for autoresume after ejected.

This DVD/VCR played every CD I threw at it.

VCD, SVCD, MiniDVD, MP3, JPG, unmastered MPG and even UDF-formatted CDs. The picture quality is great, and it is easy enough for a grandma to use.

Doesn't have the DVD autoresume feature, but few devices in this class do.
