Pros: It works, Don't have to waste batteries. Cons: Not a professional level speaker system.
It all started at a mountain bike race. We were camped out for a weekend by the side of an access road at a ski resort in Maine, and the local radio station was playing their entire catalog from A to Z. Needless to say when we were not riding we were ...
Pros: You don't need to buy batteries. Will pull in most stations within a reasonable distance. Cons: Everything about this radio is fragile.
I owned this radio for about 1 to 2 years and it spent the vast majority of it's time in the top of a closet NOT getting any use (let alone ABUSE!). This radio was used INDOORS in my small apartment (no smoking, no pets) with few exceptions. The day it ...
Pros: Charges batteries using solar or can run without batteries Cons: I wouldn't use it everyday.
I've used this radio for camping 4 or 5 times, but it's primary use is during emergencies. During recent power outages it performed perfectly. I was one of very few people that had a radio other than people who were sitting in their cars. One feature I really grew to appreciate was it doesn't require you to use batteries or it can charge the batteries using solar. The light is OK for those moments when the lights go out and your looking for light. It isn't going to illuminate a room for you, but that isn't what it's designed to do.
The AM worked excellent and the FM was almost as good. The SW was excellent during certain hours depending on country. I do have the optional SW antenna.
The sound is better than I expected but it is an emergency radio not a radio you buy to enjoy classical music
I think it's a perfect emergency radio or occasional camping
