A very nice workhorse laptop.

by stghost , Jun 18 '03
Pros: lightweight, durable, good battery life, good HD, and a large, clear screen.
Cons: Uses shared video memory, no built-in wireless LAN, default Win XP Home

I love this laptop but it has a design flaw.

by blowinup , Jun 11 '05
Pros: Infrared adapter (cordless palm hotsynch) Four USB and one Firewire port
Cons: CD connector design flaw Intel Graphics and shared video memory Max 1024X768 LCD resolution
I bought this laptop about four years ago and it has more then paid for itself. With 512MB, 40GB, and 15"LCD it still holds its own with other entry to medium level laptops in the current market. The only thing missing is a DVD/R It does however have ...

by ergodoy , Jan 30 '05
Pros: tough, nice looking
Cons: battery lasts less than 2 hours when using the DVD
The C7651 was kind of their mid-range model when I bought it. It was also a cheap alternative to the Vaio, HP or Toshiba models in the same processor/memory range. I hadn't really heard much about the brand, so I thought I was taking a chance with it. ...

Four years old and no problems
by fiddler_crabby ,Aug 03 '06
Pros: Good price Sturdy Reliable
Cons: Heavy A little outdated now (USB 1.0, no DVD writer, Pentium III)
I originally bought this machine to replace a rapidly deteriorating desktop. My primary uses were word processing, the internet, and graphics (especially Photoshop).

After four years, this computer is still working perfectly. It's never crashed, never misbooted, and shows no signs of wear other than smoothed keys and mouse buttons. Though it's a little heavy, it's a sign that the notebook is built like a tank. It has traveled not only to work and back, but all over the United States.

The specs are a little outdated now, though users who don't do a lot of work with graphics wouldn't have any problems. I'm considering a replacement because it's able to handle only simple DV editing. Movie Maker works fine, but Adobe Premier won't install because of the processor.

I can't comment on Customer Service and Support -- I've never needed it!

Great Laptop
by azuki ,Apr 14 '04
Pros: Powerful, versatile, adaptable, stylish, unique
Cons: Nothing really, just personal design critiques.
Well, I bought about 3 years ago, and never had any problems with it. At one point recently I had internal software conflicts that resulted in restoring the factory default OS. While it lacks certain newer technological features like built in wireless LAN, it is capable of doing everything the newer more expensive models can. The USB ports strangely enough are upside down, meaning given today's USB input peripherals like Rx/Tx wireless mouse and flash disks, they will appear upside down to the user. They are attached to the motherboard, so the case is built around the shape. Oh well. Fujitsu service is also outstanding, called 3 or four times to get answers for questions and even helped me reformat my drive that I mentioned earlier. Its a good intermediate range laptop with lots of power and potential. Its rugged, been around with me many places, and still stands out to passersby that rarely see a Fujitsu product. My next laptop will definately be another Fujitsu, more than likely the CELSIUS. Wish that had a integrated WiFi card, but then what would I do with the one I have?!.
