Pros: $20, unbelievable sound quality for sub-50 dollars, comfortable for hours. Cons: Bass is weak, but with a boost (which basically everything has) is superb.
I'm really picky when it comes to sound quality. I look at people listening with cheap Sony headphones, and I can do nothing but cringe. THAT ISN'T HOW MUSIC IS SUPPOSED TO SOUND!!! argh. My brother and I fall into the category of "Audiophiles". ...
Pros: Beautifully sounding headphones! Comfortable and lightweight. Highly detailed.Accurate! Best buy! Cons: Some sound can be heard by others nearby. Plastic earcup swivels susceptible to breakage.
The Labtec Elite 840 is simply the pinnacle of where value per dollar meets performance! OK, review over...Not quite but that pretty much sums it up though. In addition they are an attractively styled lightweight complete earcup binaural design ...
Pros: Good treble, very comfortable Cons: reletively weak bass for 50mm drivers
Well I happen to love headphones, and probably have 8 pairs in my room. Everytime I see a pair, I have to get them. I've had the GE vibrating headphones, which were good until the vibrators wore out, and rattled, so those were gone. After that I bought...
Pros: Good bass, price, long tangle-free cable, self-adjusting padded headband Cons: Slips of easily, slightly on the bulky side
This mighty head phone from Labtec packs a punch for a pretty low price. Designed specially for accurate bass reproduction, it delivers pretty well. It managed to reproduce sound accurately even when the volume was cranked up high. Tested it using ...
Pros: Pristine highs, transparent midrange and deep, tight, well controlled bass, very comfortable, self adjusting headband Cons: None
First, let me say that I whole heartedly agree with "shido6". I think many people will simply overlook these great headphones because of their ridiculously low price. I've listened to dozens of headphones in my 30 plus years as an audiophile. Believe...
Pros: Long, gold-plated cable. Comfortable earcups, and great sound quality. Cons: cable may wear after a while. Maybe b/c I was too rough with it though.
As an ex-gamer (although I still play a bit, just not so much) I would frequently sport these headphones at LAN parties, and would often try on my friends' headphones just to see the difference. Several pairs of 'phones I tried on were $60 or more and ...
Best headphones at approximately $20 by jesusfr3ak4evr ,Dec 20 '05
Pros: Crisp highs
Powerful, clear lows
Good mid
Comfortable
Long chord Cons: For $20 there are no cons on these seemingly perfect cheap headphones.
I've owned these headphones for a couple years now. This Christmas I'm upgrading to some Sennheiser HD 212 Pro headphones, and to say the least, I'm VERY reluctant to give up these cans. I really don't feel any incentive to upgrade other than knowing that these new headphones HAVE to be better cause they're more expensive... right? I kind of doubt it. At least I'm giving my old headphones to my sister so I can swap again...
So why do I like these headphones? They sound super great. If you tweak the bass and treble on your computer and try different songs, you can really unlock the potential in these headphones. For $20 for these headphones you cannot, I repeat CANNOT go wrong! Get these and see what I mean. Not to mention they look great and feel comfortable!! I've played all day long, literally, with these on. They're great. Get them.
Pros: Very comfortable. Wonderful sound. Light single sided cord. Cons: None whatsoever at this price.
What an unbelievable deal! Even disregarding the ridiculously low price that I paid ($1.99 Canadian after $13 mail-in rebate) these headphones are extremely comfortable and are of audiophile quality. If I wanted to be really picky, in fact it is not warranted under the circumstances of the purchase, I would say that they are a little brassy in the upper end, but then I actually quite like that characteristic. Enough said....
