Pros: Picture quality, remote, all the basic features you need. Cons: Dull cabinet color, only one s-video, no progressive scan DVD support.

Very good TV
by benpuffer ,Jan 14 '04
Pros: Great picture, great sound, versatile TV, Flat screen at a very competitive price Cons: Awkward remote
I purchased this TV (also at Bi-Mart) for $279. (All the other chains, Best Buy, Good Guys, Circuit City, are selling it for $350 or more) It's a very good TV for the price. I am happy with the picture quality, the sound is also very good. I like having an audio out -- you can hook up the TV sound to your surround sound if you'd like. I also like the ability to turn a fullscreen format into widescreen, although I haven't tested this out on a fullscreen DVD to see if it works well.
One option that it doesn't have, that would be nice, is "auto-volume adjusting" (for lack of a better term), which would prevent fluctuations in volume as you switch from channel to channel (some stations broadcast their volume much louder than others, and this TV doesn't offset that). Also, the remote has a few too many buttons crammed together -- especially the numbers. However, I have no remorse buying this TV, and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. For the money, I don't think this TV can be beat.
