Pros: Light, rather delicate flavors. Cons: I just hope Jameson gets along with Jack.
I am going to expand my horizons a bit a try an Irish whiskey today. Jameson Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey to be exact. My first question was what is the difference between Irish whiskey and Scotch whisky, other than the spelling. Well I didn't ...
Pros: Relatively inexpensive ($20) and easy to find. Light and gentle for a whiskey Cons: Maybe too light for a Scotch drinker
BOTTOM LINE Jameson is a well known Irish Whiskey that is well liked for its gentle sweetness. Many that shy away from drinking whiskey neat or on the rocks will find that Jameson’s light honey taste appeals to them and make a ...
Pros: Wonderful flavor, sweet, with pleasant amounts of wood and malt. Cons: A little expensive.
Irish whiskey does not get as much air time in the world as bourbon and scotch, and all too often when it does it is in abominations like Irish Car Bombs, but there are some very nice things to be said about the whiskey made on the Emerald Isle. The ...
As I sipped my first glass of Jameson's Irish Whiskey, I was struck by the smoothness of the liquor. It is not nearly as stringent or demanding as Scotch, even blends, nor as woody tasting as bourbon, nor as soft and relaxed as Canadian Whiskey....
Pros: Blends in drinks very well, especially Irish coffee Cons: A tad lackluster to stand alone
I am a cranky drinker-I want exactly what I want when I want it. Life and times being what they are I have become a very infrequent drinker, but one of my rare forays will always lead me to Jameson's Irish Whiskey for the best of Irish coffee. (Not to...
Pros: smooth, rich flavor without the burn Cons: all the good stuff is expensive
Jameson's Irish Whiskey is unique. Its flavor is incredibly smooth and clean taste which is touched with overtones of both wood and earth. It has a rich and even silky mouth-feel. Other whiskeys can burn, but while Jameson's is warm, it doesn't burn like...
Pros: It's everywhere making converts of those who have never sampled Irish Whiskey before. Cons: It's everywhere and may possibly be as deep into Irish Whiskey as new converts get.
The Holy 4: Tullamore Dew, Jameson, Bushmills, & John Power Gold label (Powers). Not dissimilar in taste or price and everyone has their own preferences. A lot of folks, including myself, start out drinking hard liquor as shots. I personally was a ...
Pros: Smooth and non-offensive. No alcohol burn on the way down. Cons: Not enough character to warrant a serious recommendation.
Mention Irish whiskey to anyone, and you're going to get one of two names: Bushmills or Jameson. If you walk into a bar and order an Irish whiskey, chances are it'll be one of those two. Now, I'm a great fan of Irish whiskies, Bushmills Black Bush ...
Pros: It's like mothers milk. Perfect in every way Cons: That I can't by it by the barrel
I started off drinking Whiskey as a dare when I was 18. It was Jack Daniels. A friend of mine and myself would drink Jack to show off in front of our friends, who often could not handle a shot by themselves. We thought of ourselves as studs. ...
Pros: Great Irish Whiskey Cons: maybe you do not want a strong drink
This is it. Short of single malt scotches and other limited edition styles that cost twice as much, this is the best whiskey you can get. It's great in coffee, it's great on the rocks, it's great straight up. I'm sure it's great with soda or water,...

Good Irish Blended whiskey. by fitzspike195 ,Oct 09 '06
Pros: Good value, smooth and flavorful. Cons: Costs more than Bushmills.
Very good for a blended Irish Whiskey. Comparable to Bushmills Blended. Not worth the five dollars extra they charge for Jameson over Bushmills. If they were priced the same I would have a tough time choosing between the two brands.
Color: Rich, deep amber. Nose: Mellow, pot still whiskey with toasted wood and sherry undertones. Taste: Smooth and sweet with woody and nutty tones. ...More at CityWineCellar
