Pros: Durable, Attractive, Convection saves time, Simplicity, All the Features you Need Cons: A bit pricey, but worth every dollar!
Before I owned the Krups Toaster oven with Convection Cooking, I had a sinking feeling that all toaster ovens would break easily and often. In fact, my yearly ritual was to return my broken toaster to Bed Bath and Beyond and check out the latest ...
Pros: Works well, easy to use, controls are easy to find. Cons: Broil/grill is an afterthought. And defrost is way too slow.
A few months ago, I reviewed a Europro toaster oven that was giving us fits . Luckily, we've since replaced it with this very nice Krups six slice toaster oven that works MUCH better than the Europro. It costs twice ...
Pros: Very attractive, nicely engineered, fast, bakes and toasts evenly, easy to clean. Cons: Some minor manufacturing defects. Time/temperature control may be inconvenient for some.
Most countertop convection ovens I have seen on the consumer market have been toaster ovens with a convection feature. The ovens have a fan mounted in one of the sides of the inner cavity, and the usual heating elements above and below the racks. Most ...
Pros: extremely fast heat up of elements, true broiler, toast, convection cuts cooking time in half Cons: door not attached to rack to pull out
I have had three Delonghi's and an Oster in the last 5 years. The first two Delonghi's suffered the same fate--the knobs wore out, lost their grip and could no longer do anything but turn round and round. The 3rd one had the lower elements warp and ...
Pros: Even, fast heating.Superb cooking with a wide variety of foods. Simple, intuitive controls. Cons: None, except a stainless steel exterior would be a nice option.
Keep your life simple and happy - you really don't need to read any further if you are in the market for a do-it-all toaster oven - this is the best one made at any price! Certainly a bit more expensive that other toaster ovens out there, but for the ...
Pros: FAST & intense heat, solid design (comparatively speaking), intuitive accurate digital control, convection heat. Cons: Outside gets hot (they all do but it should be addressed), loud beeper
My search for a decent toaster oven has been a royal pain in the botox! The vast majority of the units I researched and inspected (online and in stores) are only a half-step up from tin foil Easy Bake ovens. Some may work well but they are made of junk ...
Pros: Well Built, Fast Heating, Accurate Temperature Control, Auto Shut-off, Cool-to touch handle,Good-looking Cons: No stops on sliding racks (but open door serves as baking dish rest)
Krups Toaster Oven FCB2 I do not wish to repeat the well-deserved raves all over the NET about this toaster oven; but after having used it for just about everything (except defrosting) for over three months now, it can be a little tricky ...
Pros: Convection; Fast Heating; Durable; Reasonably Insulated; Loud beep; Auto off; Crumb Tray slides from front Cons: Low-quality non-stick pans; No light, but can see inside; Outside case a little hot
So for this amount of money, there's no point in owning it if you are going to seriously use it. Don't buy it just to toast something, because a real toaster will give you faster results. It takes at ~4 minutes to toast sliced bread in this unit and ...
Pros: Quick heat, easy controls, toasts well, reheats well, and cooks well enough. Cons: Noisy, vibrating convection fan, door closer failed, cookware inadequate, back gets hot as Hades.
Preface This review is targeted at existing owners. Potential buyers will find it less useful. If you are considering buying a Krups unit, I find the review by mrcoffee73 to be largely in agreement with my own experiences and observations, ...
Pros: When the unit works, it does a good job toasting. Cons: The unit keeps breaking down - 4 times in 3 months!
I will never buy a Krups product again! I thought they were supposed to make a quality product. What a joke! I bought this oven 1/19/09. It has been in the shop 3 times and will go in again tomorrow. Krups refuses to replace ...
Pros: Good looks. That's about it. Cons: Had 3 bad units. Non-stick bake/broiler pan get scratched by the oven racks.
All I can tell you, the reader, is that I REALLY WANTED to like this unit. I bought it based upon all of the good reviews on here and on Amazon, but after 3 bad units, I would NOT recommend anyone buying it. We bought this Krups FBC2 (FBC212 listed ...
Pros: Size, color, name brand (or so I thought) Cons: Annoying multiple beeps at end of cooking cycle. Majority of units unreliable!
Don't know who is giving this product good reviews. -friends/employees? (one reviewer went through THREE units, I went through TWO, in a matter of weeks. Unless they aren't making them like they used to)!!! First purchased this unit from Bed Bath & ...
Pros: very fast heat up time.... very fast............ Cons: haven't found any as of yet.
I tried several toaster ovens and was not happy with anyone of them and returned the to the store for a refund. Then I bought the Krups FBC-212 and WOW this Toaster over works great. Heats up so fast where the others I tried took forever to heat up. This ...
Pros: Quick to heat. Maintains even temp throughout cycle. Relatively quiet. Looks good. Cons: Doesn't toast as quickly as I'd like.
The Krups is a replacement for my Oster which never worked worth a darn. This one heats up very fast, cooks evenly, doesn't make the horrendous convection noise that many others do, and looks too. I'm a bit disappointed in how long and how unevenly it does toast. (Not sure why toast seems to be the most challenging thing for toaster ovens to master.)
Also, I needed something to take over the day to day work of my larger Decor ovens. (I have two and both are young, yet need $$$ worth of repair updates.) Krups does a fine job of cooking most of the food I've put in it.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this product and recommend it.

Pros: Strong, sturdy unit. Should last for years. Cons: Fan will break. It is just a matter of time. Door hinges are temperamental too.
There have been many reviews about this product already and there is not much to add except one very important point. The fan will break and will render the "convection" properties of this oven useless. Sure, you will be able to toast and bake till your heart's content and this is an otherwise strong and sturdy unit, yet, even after sending back two units back to KRUPS, alas, the fan is broken again. I suspect the reason why the fan breaks is because the oven gets very hot and this either cooks the computer chips, the wires, or the lubricant that keeps the fan turning. Whatever reason, the fan is poorly engineered. Others have also stated having issues with the door hinges. I concur. Hopefully KRUPS will solve these issues in future models.
