Pros: Great battery life, comfortable, easy to set up and use Cons: The side buttons on the mouse can be accidentally pressed, a lot of buttons, price
I recently purchased this set (had this lovely $20 rebate to go with it) to replace my previous Logitech wireless combo. As with any wireless device, battery life is something that drains rapidly, and I had become frustrated at the ability of my mouse to ...
Pros: Expensive look. Ergonomical mouse. RF works great for both. Has mostly convenient, customizable buttons. Cons: Not recommended for excessive users, too heavy. Doesn't glide well for precisiveness. Batteries die quick.
I liked this mouse at first, because it came with a matching keyboard and charger. And it was attractive! About a year ago I bought this set at Office Max for $99 - reg. price. I like the colors (dark blue and silver with a touch of chrome-like trim) ...
Pros: Stylish. Convenient. Comfortable. Wireless. Perfection. Cons: None at all.
This cordless desktop is truly amazing. I got it as a present, and it's the best keyboard, and mouse I've ever used. Keyboard: 1) Comes with comfortable wrist support so your wrist doesn't hang in the air and get tired from typing. 2) Buttons are ...
Pros: Wonderful feel & response, love the mouse thumb wheel.
Easy to manipulate. Cons: mouse battery & charging system, sill too many keyboard errors
Our Dell keyboard & mouse, had both stopped working properly, we borrowed my son's Microsoft wireless set, but, have not been happy with mouse or the feel of the keyboard. So, when were buying my son's new toy, my wife tried every mouse & or ...
I was using my old trusty corded Logitech elite keyboard along with my $99. Logitech MX1000 laser mouse. I wanted a keyboard that would come with a receiver that would work with the MX1000 and this fits the bill better then I had hoped! Not only am I ...
Pros: Solid, very well built. Quietest keyboard I've ever used. Cons: Non programmable keys,
Switching from the Microsoft mouse and keyboard to the Logitech compo sold as the LX700 is quite a change. The keyboard contains a ton of buttons to customize. However if you prefer to disable certain keys, for me it is the Windows Start key on the ...
Pros: design, Cons: crashes almost everytime system returns to desktop after screensaver, horrible battery life
I bought this keyboard about 4 months ago after reading good reviews on it, and it worked well for the 1st 2 months, then it starts to really mess up. first, when the pc goes into idle with screen saver, and comes back to normal desktop screen after I ...
Pros: Keyboard is still working great. Cons: Mouse has failed after 2½ years. It's too hard to make them honor their warranty!
I bought a cordless mouse and keyboard from Logitech two and a half years ago. I still like the keyboard -- I've only had to reconnect it a couple of times. However, about a year after I bought them, the mouse started misbehaving. I would have to reconnect it several times a day, for a week or so, then it would work fine for a few weeks, then repeat the process! It finally quit working all together. After many emails back and forth with Logitech, they said it was defective and I needed a replacement. But, they don't do that by email, you have to call a non-toll free number. I did that, held for over 15 minutes and gave up.
What good is a five year warranty when they make it impossible to contact them to honor it????
Pros: cordless- dream come true Cons: none- other than getting used to all the buttons and functions
This wireless keyboard/mouse is fantastic.I have all kinds of wireless range even with my wood/metal desk.Nothing but praise for wonderful keyboard layout with it's soft touch keys and well thought-out buttons for different functions.I don't think I'll find much use for the volume control dial, but it's there anyways. The mouse is especially nice with many uses for the buttons.I also bought it for online gameing as my normal mouse was to slow too react to actions fast enough. The high DPI count is perfect.Excellent work on this design Logitech.
Pros: Plenty of features flawless tracking a pleasure to use. Cons: None I just loved this keyboard.
I love this keyboard and I operated my computer at a desk adjacent to my computer. I have a habit of getting really comfortable in my computer chair lean back and edit pictures and surf the web. The keyboard has lots of features and works flawlessly.
It's now the end 2007 and still using this great Combo by hapgail ,Sep 04 '05
Pros: A good deal Cons: none after yrs of heavy use
It's now the end 2007 and still using and very happy with this Logitech combo, never had a problem with the mouse rechargeable battery and only replaced the keyboard battery twice since bought; not rechargeable. One thing I did find, ya can wash this keyboard easily. I only removed the screws from the rear and the keys stayed in place when cover was removed and while I washed it, also easy to wipe down the flex circuit
Wow, What a keyboard!!!!!!! by fancycat ,Jan 14 '06
Pros: A great set,NO PROBLEMS with the software what so ever!!!!Keep it up Logitech!!!! Cons: None what so ever so far and cant see any in the future, simply wonderful!!!
Well Logitech did it again, bravo Logitech another Winner. Just a short review here. I had to return a microsoft Pro Digital Media keyboard that had a zoom feature that worked only for the first 2 weeks when it was new.Ya microsoft only 2 months old!!!!!!!So Staples said to pick out another one. Well I already had the Logitech MX1000 laser mouse to which Im very pleased about its performance. Simply the best wireless mouse. So i was looking for a wireless keyboard to use with it and bingo!!! A reviewer on here said the same thing it would work with the LX700. And its cool to be able to switch mice mid stream. Kudo's Logitech for a great product combo. Microsoft PULL UP THOSE SOCKS and get going as there are companies wanting to dethrone you in just about every aspect of the computer world!!!!!
Not as good as it should be by rat_boy ,Jan 09 '05
Pros: Shortcut keys work faultlessly really are useful.
Great mouse, with programable buttons. Cons: Yes CONS is a good word. Cordless??
What's the point Logitech?
Yes, I'm afraid the LX700 is not as good as it should be.
The range is severely limited if the transmitter is placed anywhere near metalic surfaces.
My computer table has metalic legs and as a result I can't move further than 8 feet from the transmitter before the mouse stops working, this distance is bound to reduce as the batteries become flatter with time.
So if 8 feet is your idea of freedom, then the LX700 is for you. This is an expensive gimmick item, that should never have been released to the public before the bugs were ironed out.
I'm stuck with mine now, so I'm going to have to redesign parts of my living room just to make this item work as advertised...should I really have to do that Logitech ?
I really want to hate this product, because it's main selling point (being cordless) is also it's biggest failing.
However both the mouse and the keyboard are simply the best I have ever used. Intuitive ,comfortable and very easy to customise.
Now that I have set up the system in such a way that the pathetic range isn't an issue....it's a joy to use.
After two months it has been returned to the store.
Upon initial install, everything seemed good. The response was not a quick as I hoped. But after a month the mouse and keyboard started requiring numerous 'connect' procedure. This was followed by the keyboard not responding and mouse moving to the top left hand corner of the screen with no response (even after boot-up).
Logic help was no help and after trying it on another PC determined the product to be flakey.
