My sister needed a new dryer and I mentioned that Maytags had a bad reputation. She bought this one anyway, and it quit working after two days. TWO DAYS.

Pros: None that I can think of.
Cons: Less than 4 yrs old; tumbler has rusted and is turning my clothes brown.

Responsiveness to consumer problems is no longer the strength of Maytag products.
I had an independent repair person come take a look at my dryer that is less that 4 years old. He said he had never seen the exterior of a dryer tumbler so rusty. The rust is staining my clothes each time a load is dried.
One would think that this would be covered under their warranty as stated in the manufacturer's booklet. But it is impossible to talk with anyone at Maytag who has the authority to deem this problem as being under warranty.
My advice: cut your losses and do not buy Maytag products.
