Wonderful Waffles!
by beachgypsy ,Oct 20 '05
Pros: Large capacity, cooks on any heat surface, easy to use. Cons: Can't think of any.
Received 1st one as a B'day gift in 1987 while on a camping trip. Immediately started using it and have since acquired 5 more. Keep 2 in each of our campers and 2 at home! We're always impressing folks with waffles in the boondocks.
Favorite recipe - 2C Bisquick, 2T cornmeal, 10oz club soda, 1 egg, 1/4C oil, 1/2C Pecans.
Use non-stick spray for 1st batch, medium-high flame, turn after 1 to 1.5 minutes and check color.
Brush crumbs off before storing and if you must wash, be gentle and let dry thoroughly.

Even took this waffle iron to Africa
by hujamboj ,Oct 18 '07
Pros: Flexibility and great waffles Cons: None
We first bought this Nordic Ware waffle iron in the early 80's when we were living and working in Africa and couldn't use our USA 110 appliances in a 220 environment. With three young sons, we ate a lot of waffles! We used the Belgian Waffler at home and for camping and it always made great waffles. I gave mine away when we returned to the states and have been unable to find a replacement and couldn't remember the brand name. thanks to the internet and a google search for 'waffle irons' there it was. Our sons are now grown, so we are making Nordic Ware waffles for our grand kids. Good reminder to use a veggie spray for the first waffles.
