Pros: Small, takes AA batteries, 3x optical zoom. Cons: Noisy pictures in low light, loooooong flash charge and slow shot to card transfer.
I hate reading unfavourable reviews for a desirable product. When I'm looking to buy any piece of technology I want everybody to think the item is great, cheap and the best thing since sliced bread. That way I feel vindicated in my purchase decisions and ...
Pros: long battery life, high quality, small form-factor Cons: none
It is a pleasure taking pictures using this camera. I selected it primarily because of the size -- it easily fits into a pants pocket and secondly because of the high quality/price ratio: for $250 one gets 4.0 megapixel quality shots, very hard to beat ...
Pros: Small form factor, good ergonomics Cons: Battery issues, mushy shutter release
This is my third digital camera. My first, the Fuji MX-1200 was a one megapixel product with quality control issues. I keep this camera in my fishing tackle box. It's really obsolete, so I won't mind if I someday drop it overboard. My next camera, ...
Pros: Small, 4Megapixel, Lots of features, 3x Optical Zoom, Very Intuitive interface Cons: Could be smaller (See Optio S4i), some blurring from small lens
The Pentax Optio S40 is beautiful camera made with every detail in mind. It's key selling point though is its minute size. Overall the camera is a great buy. Some final picture quality is lost due to the minute lens, but for anyone who is out to get a ...
Pros: Picture quality, battery life, easy to use, small size... too many to list. Cons: A few seconds' pause between shots while flash recharges, during which LCD goes black
I got the Pentax Optio S40 as a birthday present about two or three weeks ago. It's my first digital camera (besides a $40 webcam I bought at Longs Drugs, which doesn't count), so I'm not an expert photographer. But for a point-and-shoot camera for a ...
Pros: small, light; good value; battery life (sometimes); good variety of automatic modes Cons: terrible flash recycling; sometimes noisy pictures; too 'automatic'
the camera is pretty small and convenient, and i got very good battery life out of it (scores of photos, i haven't recharged in a few weeks) with some batteries (rechargeable, 2300 mAh). with other batteries, this camera eats through them in about 10 ...
Pros: Small, takes rechargeable and standard AA batteries, comes with 64MB SD memory Cons: Poor picture quality at best setting, no case or docking station
This is my third serious digital camera. My second was a 4MP HP that I bought at Costco. I really liked it, but it was accidentally turned on in a cupholder of a golf cart and the zooming mechanism broke trying to extend the lens. So when I was at ...
Pros: Compact, good features, long life batteries. Cons: Shutter lag, softness in pictures, mushy shoot button.
I'm happy with my camera. This is my first digital camera.I've been readings a lot of reviews about this camera before I bought it.In my little experience of 1 week I had good results and bad results. The features are very good to a camera this size.I bought this camera because the compact size and the movie and sound that is good to get some movies instead pictures. The quality of the pictures are a little bit soft but sometimes the pictures are great. My pulse is bad so I guess that having a tripod I'll get better pics. The life of batteries are good if are rechargeable,I have NIMH 2100mHa and last enough to take pics, using flash and using the digital screen during my day.Works better outdoors, inside is a little bit fuzzy, the flash works fine in a short distance.I don't care much about the lag time between shoots.I think if you are looking for a camera that is compact, with lots of helpful features and in a budget, this is the camera.
Pros: Small Cons: Ridiculously bad battery life
Confusing Menu
THIS IS THE WORST DIGITAL CAMERA I HAVE EVER OWNED! I put in new AA batteries and got 6 pictures! That is ridiculous! So I figured it must have been the batteries, so I went out and bought 2 more. SAME THING. The menus make NO sense. This camera was released to the market before it was ready. BEWARE!
Pros: so many features and options, small. Cons: Keep a steady hand when taking pics, or else blurry
This camera was a present and was a lot more than I had expected from examining similarly priced cameras. I think that Pentax likes to provide the digital camera user with a lot of options that mimic a traditional SLR. It has a manual focus feature, a manual white-light adjustment feature (meaning you can define what is 'white' under odd lighting conditions), it can focus on close ups that are only 2 inches away, a lot of flash features, rapid shot, over and under exposure, etc. If you are an experienced camera user and have a relatively steady hand (this thing is small) then you can take most of your pictures without the flash. The flash is strong, almost too strong for close ups. You can put multiple filters onto the photos, not just black&white but colored ones, record sound bytes to go with each shot, and video+audio recordings.
