Pros: Good looks, quality sound, good size, basic functions Cons: poor picture, overall poor quality for the price
I bought this TV at a large retail chain store. I did not impulse buy, I knew what I was looking for and I had a budget. This Phillips #25PS40S 25’’ TV seemed like a perfect match, or so I thought.
Pros: Nice design. Good Sound. Cons: Poor picture quality. BIG problems.
I was in the market for a new 25" TV with S-video capabilities. That's all. No big bells and whistles, just a decent TV. I've now had this set for over a year, and let me tell you, I'm going to give up and try something else.
Pros: sleek design, space efficiency, hot keys, side AV jacks, gaming quality Cons: cumbersome, some questionably useful menu features
I had had my previous television set for a few years before the purchase of my new Philips 25-inch set. I had done without a working remote for a while, and that wasn't so bad. But having acquired a friend's Dreamcast system with a malfunctioning...
Pros: Superb picture and audio quality. Versatile remote. Excellent inputs and outputs. Cons: My unit has a defective component video input.
This television has proved to be a good purchase for me, for the money it offers high quality and many configuration options. I am basically using it as an AV receiver replacement because it boasts a large number of inputs (coaxial, composite video,...
Pros: Sound, Clarity of the Picture, Easy to Use Cons: Romote has no options for using with other equipment.
We replaced our 19" TV with this 25" TV with awesome sound and picture. My husband says it is like being in a movie theater. You can set up the sound so when a commercial comes on it doesn't get lounder or quieter it stays at the same level.

I was pleasantly suprised at this powerful little tv. The picture qulaity is far superior to any RCA twice its size and many Panasonic models. The sound quality is good.
A good value at $198.
